FROM NATURE The Chlorophylle Essence «Our clothes have no complexes,» said former president and co-founder Gilles Couet when he spoke of Chlorophylle clothing. They are versatile, high-quality and are not afraid of wear and tear. We all have a history of a Chlorophylle coat that we’ve kept for decades! Our desire is not to follow fashion, but if nature is fashionable, then we are too! We draw our inspiration from nature to offer clothing that allows outdoor enthusiasts to move, stay active and play outside! We keep telling ourselves that there is no bad weather, only bad clothes! Whether it’s to find new technologies, or the colours of our products, we take the time to appreciate the nature that surrounds us to create.
A brand that respects the environment Product quality and respect for the environment are an integral part of our daily actions. We use materials such as recycled polyester, recycled polar fleece, organic cotton, Tencel™ and bamboo, among others. We work hard to ensure that the materials that we select decrease our environmental footprint each year.
We are constantly challenging our assembly and design technologies. The objective is to provide environmental and high-performance benefits to produce the next generation of Chlorophylle products that will increasingly come from renewable sources, consume less resources to create them and do not compromise the quality of our products
Nature lovers Whether by the materials used in our products or our daily actions, Chlorophylle is made by nature lovers. The quality of our clothes and our thirst to push our limits are at the heart of our actions. This is what has made our reputation since 1980.

Lightweight & wind resistant Matéo & Florence anorak Program The Florence and Matéo jackets have been part of our flagship clothing since Chlorophylle came to life in the 80s. It’s technical, compact, sturdy and with a look that never goes out of style throughout all seasons. Made from a cotton and polyester canvas with a DWR finish, it’s also wind and water-resistant. This versatile jacket features a long lateral two-way zipper for improved ventilation, adjustable hood, adjustable cuffs and two zippered hand pockets. Our ambassador, Michel Tremblay, survival expert, declares it to be one of his favourites: «The most robust that I’ve tried. Even the fibres know no limits! The poly-cotton blend protects from the wind and rain. It passed the branch, rock and abrasion challenge. I really love it! Practical and compact with its off-the-beaten-path look reminiscent of the first Chlorophylle jackets!» A stylish jacket that will become a long-time favourite.
FROM NATURE ENGAGED Jacket donations For the past 3 years Chlorophylle is positioned as an ally of excellence for Canadians and their activities in nature and the great outdoors. We have accompanied many adventurers through their international expeditions, while encouraging local projects of individuals whose values unite with our own. We believe that every action, no matter how small, can give way to large-scale projects. With this in mind, we’ve been inviting our customers to bring back their second-hand coats* as part of the Jacket Donation event for the past three years. It’s our way of giving hundreds of coats a second life and helping so many people who can’t afford the proper clothing to protect them from our harsh climate. Donations are then given to community organizations across Quebec and redistributed to people suffering from homelessness or who are in need. This year, we’re aiming to shatter the record of a thousand total articles returned to our community! « A jacket can take up a large part of someone’s budget, but it’s essential for making it through the
cold winter months », explained Mr. Michel St-Gelais, director of the Maison d’Azccueil pour SansAbri (homeless shelter) in Chicoutimi, for which the event is largely awaited to meet the needs of their clientele. « People from different organizations are always enthusiastic to see that the event returns every year and it’s a true pleasure that’s shared by our entire team.», explained the event organizer and director of marketing, Claudie Laroche. This year, in addition to the gift of clothing, we’ll also be inviting customers to make cash donations at the check-out. A cheque will then be given to the participating organizations in addition to the coats. No-one should be afraid of Quebec’s cold weather and it’s a true joy to help clothe hundreds of people who are living in less than ideal situations. We hope to continue the privilege of distributing warmth and happiness for many years to come. *in exchange of a jacket, no matter the brand, Chlorophylle is giving $75 off a new Chlorophylle coat.

FROM NATURE CANADIAN Proud of our origins Chicoutimi & Saguenay Jackets Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean, a region located on the northern shores of the Saint-Lawrence in Quebec, Canada, is a prized location for outdoor enthusiasts. No matter if it’s the Monts-Valin, which records an average snow accumulation of 550 cm per year, or the majestic Saguenay Fjord, whose waters extend over 235 km, this region is our perfect outfoor playground. Temperatures that range between +30°C in the summer and -30°C in the winter, rain that’s sometimes warm, sometimes frigid, heat, humidity, snowstorms, wind or slate, in short, a happy meteorological cocktail that enables us to evolve and test our clothing directly on the terrain and in the elements. Our founders drew their inspiration from across the globe, but their roots brought them back to this region every time, where they were inspired to create Chlorophylle’s first technical clothing collection. For over 40 years, the road travelled has inevitably led us towards these values of respect for our origins and the environment that surrounds us. Our strength
is literally and figuratively derived from our ability to adapt to our natural surroundings. The Chicoutimi and Saguenay jackets are a concrete example. Made in Canada, insulated with recycled Primaloft® and made with 45% recycled, sustainable REPREVE®* polyester, these coats respectfully reflect the spirit of our Saguenay origins. The Chicoutimi and Saguenay are a reflection of our commitment to quality local production and tailoring, through the choice of responsible materials and their technical characteristics that guarantee a maximum level of comfort. A current commitment of creating and manufacturing a part of our production in Canada. *The world’s leading brand of recycled high-performance fibers. They’re manufactured from 100% recycled materials, including post-consumer plastic bottles and pre-consumer waste. They’re also certified and sustainable.

BOHEMIAN CLUB Our foodies in the great outdoors Bohemian Club This club is composed of Vincent, Renato and PierYves, three guys from Saguenay. During their younger years, they could often be found in the kitchen at parties with their friends. We can undoubtedly say that food, good food, is at the heart of the friendship that unites these three adventure and nature lovers.
« When we tried on our aprons for the first time, it was great to finally have a suitable piece of clothing to wear. We played in the flour and ashes and without our aprons, we would’ve been quite the mess! Moreover, because of its waterproof material, water beads on contact and it was great to be able to keep our clothes clean underneath. »
We’ve created a technical apron for them that protects against cooking messes over a wood fire, in addition to mud and poor weather conditions.

MARIO CYR Explorer, filmmaker & Chlorophylle ambassador A loyal ambassador Chlorophylle’s had the honour of having Mario Cyr among their ambassadors since the beginning of the 90s. He’s always trusted our clothes for wearning during his many expeditions across the planet. We’ve shared the same values for over 20 years, which are pushing oneself to the limits, in addition to respect for and love of nature.
Renowned filmmaker Mario is a master-diver and is one of the world experts in ice diving, one of the most daring and risky specialities of scuba diving. His passion and understanding of marine life have driven him to promote awareness of the animal world through film. Cyr has participated in over 150 cinematographic works for producers such as National Geographic, Discovery Channel, BBC and many others. When he isn’t filming never-before-seen underwater images of polar bears and walruses, Cyr gives conferences where he speaks about the importance of preserving natural habitats.

His future projects
A custom-made jacket
Despite the pandemic, which put certain projects on-hold, 2022 will still be abound with expeditions for Mario. A documentary in partnership with the BBC will be filmed in the waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence in February, 2022. He and his team will go in search of the harp seals.
We’re in the process of creating a tailor-made jacket according to his wishes and requirements as a great adventurer in the extreme. In fact, all he wanted was a lightweight jacket that will keep him warm for over 40 consecutive hours. The stage has been set. After several meetings with him and our team of designers, this newcomer to the Chlorophylle collection was born. Moreover, a limited production will also be available to our customers in the fall of 2022.
Next spring, he’ll be travelling to the Arctic to bolster his immersive exhibition: Sous les Glaces (Below the Ice) This exhibition invites the audience on a journey to a mysterious and almost-inaccessible place: the Canadian Arctic. A voyage in search of polar bears, walruses, narwhals, sea angels and large marine mammals.

ÉRIC DESCHAMPS Naturally passionate! Éric is a true lover of nature. He blends into the environment of the sea and mountains to observe the wild animals that live there and bear witness to their many secrets. Because of his extraordinary connection with nature, Éric captures unique images, moments that are both vibrant and heartfelt, which he attends in symbiosis with Quebec’s flora and fauna. Éric began his quest to understand nature in 2016, after moving to Gaspésie. Originally from Montreal’s south shore, Éric was raised in these major cities in which he never felt inspired; so little in fact, that he didn’t hesitate to move from the urban environment and his university studies to push towards true happiness, for actual meaning in his life and to follow his heart. This is when he discovered his true passion: Photographing nature in the wilderness.
An a-typical way of life He had to adapt to an uncommon way of life to fuel his desire. Often on the lookout in the early morning or late at night, he does not hesitate to make the sacrifices necessary to get the best out of what nature has to offer. Ambitious, curious and passionate, Éric has made a name for himself in a short time in Canada, the United States and Europe.
Proud of his recent, but no less striking, career as a photographer, he shares with you his passion: wilderness photography. For Éric Deschamps, each photo is a story to be told. This man has the talent to make animals speak through his images. Each photo is a special moment between himself and wildlife, which he shares through his passion and generosity.
A winter jacket & pants created just for him. Eric had asked for: «The warmest and lightest down jacket ever created!» «Large pockets for his batteries and cameras» «A bib so I can lie on the ground and crawl towards the animals without the snow getting in» «Waterproof to ensure that I stay dry»
