• The Heydar Aliyev Centre is a 57,500 m² building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by IraqiBritish architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The Heydar Aliyev Centre represents a fluid form which emerges by the folding of the landscape's natural topography and by the wrapping of individual functions of the Centre
• The centre is famous for its fluid form, which the architects conceived as a reaction to the rigid architecture of the Soviet era, as well as a reference to Islamic calligraphy and elements of traditional Azerbaijani architecture.
