When fear arises in us, we turn to the memory of our past to justify that fear.

The most significant transformation is turning fear into Love. This involves working through several hurdles, the biggest one being the ego, which has proven to be entirely deceitful in our perception of reality. Think of it like this, the mind manufactures reels of motion picture films about our past experiences. We use this film as a guide to provide us with certainty to avoid making the same mistakes again.

We think, oh, how wise am I to have learned from my past, now I am unafraid and experienced enough to take on whatever the future brings.

Yet because we turn to our past, our body is living in the past, living in an old belief system ingrained into our subconscious, preventing us from creating a new future.

Here s the catch: memory is the real joker. When fear arises in us, we turn to the memory of our past to justify that fear. Memory, however, is poor at its job and only remembers 50 of the event or experience accurately. The other half is a fabricated lie, a drama directed by the ego to validate our current fear. And so we give in to the trap, settle for living in the past. A lie made up by the mind to enslave us in mediocrity.

Yet, where does Love fit into this? According to psychiatrist and author Gerald Jampolsky, Love is the complete absence of fear. It is eternal while everything else is transitory. Although Love is what we truly desire, we are often afraid of Love without consciously knowing it, so we

may act blind or deaf to Love s presence. However, only when we help ourselves and each other let go of this fear do we begin to see a real personal transformation. Love can help us see the world with clarity going beyond the physical senses, where our minds are joined, and we share a common Self, where inner peace and Love are, in fact, all that is real. Jampolsky concludes that when Love is the only reality, health and wholeness can be viewed as inner peace, and healing starts to occur as a process of letting go of fear.
