Nicole Terry BYU Magazine, “At the Y” 113 words A New Leader for Leading Edge Students are finding new worlds and exploring alternate realities on campus—with the help of a student journal. Leading Edge, BYU's science fiction and fantasy magazine, published its 70th issue in April, and this issue marks a bigger change than expected. The magazine's editor in chief, Hayley Brooks, just graduated and passed her leadership position on to Heather White, an already-experienced managing editor for Leading Edge. “I’m excited to lead Leading Edge for the coming school year,” Heather says, “although it’s sad that so many wonderful people are leaving.” The next issue can be expected later this year and is sure to bring exciting stories with unique protagonists and otherworldly adventures.
