Taking a look back at 2013 The Big Move We settled into our new and bigger premises at Seven Hills. With this bigger and better address we have been able to double our fleet and staff in both operators, labourers and office staff.

We have welcomed some great new clients throughout 2013 and we are always grateful to retain and continue our relationship with our long term clients.

Breaking Boundaries Online Concrete Cutting Services continue to break boundaries within Australia with new technology and this year we were the first to test drive the Dragon Saw which is an effective way to saw through concrete.

Online Concrete Cutting Services has a new Ring Saw that can be best described as the most productive and economic ring saw on the market, our 508mm blade cuts 406mm deep and the saw’s operating advantages include the elimination of over cuts which in turn will save you time and money.

We test drove this new equipment at various job sites around NSW and was welcomed with rave reviews from site supervisors, project mangers and of course the operators.

Awards Finalist Online Concrete Cutting Services was a Finalist in our category at the Local Business Awards, not bad for a first time entrant but we’ll get them in 2014.

In house Training Earlier this year we hired an extremely experienced and knowledgeable trainer by the name of Lee Cockram. Lee brings 28 years of experience with him.

Concrete Scanning Online Concrete Cutting Services offers concrete scanning, using the latest non-destructive GPR concrete inspection Technology. In July 2013 we put our most experienced operators through a concrete scanning course.

Reduced delay’s can be achieved by calling the concrete cutters that can do both scanning and cutting.

What a great year to be a concrete cutter Online Concrete Cutting Services is not only known for working on intricate and very detailed decorative cutting, but we have also played a role on many high profile construction sites in 2013 such as the M2, the Southern Freight Link upgrade, the new loading docks tunnel underneath Photo: Jamie using the new Dragon saw on the the Opera House, the West St Bridge upgrade project. very high profile site of Barangaroo and many more.

Barangaroo Barangaroo is a $6bn urban transformation of the western edge of Sydney’s central business district and will provide extraordinary benefits for Sydney, NSW Australia.

The southern 7.5 hectares of the site which is destined to become the greenest and most advanced financial district and the first large scale, carbon neutral precinct in Australia.

Online Concrete Cutting Services has been involved since the early works on the site. At Barangaroo we were able to showcase our use of several self run drill rigs being used at the same time by one operator, which not only saved time and money but also displayed the drill rigs efficiency and accuracy. Hundreds of core holes were drilled into the sea wall at Baranagaroo. We continue to work on the site performing various sawing & drilling tasks.

Commonwealth Bank Money Box Building Online Concrete Cutting Services was contracted to do wire sawing, core drilling, wall sawing and some road sawing at the historic Commonwealth Bank building which is now owned by Macquarie Group.

Online Concrete Cutting Services cut over 9 levels of concrete to widen the main atrium .The main atrium will be widened from 6 meters to 10.5 meters which will increase the amount of natural daylight. Once finished the main atrium will be covered with a glass dome.

This refurbishment will transform the historic banking chamber into a state-of-the-art commercial workspace with over 11 levels. The landmark heritage-listed building was constructed between 1925 and 1928 and is a rare Australian example of the American influenced Inter-War Beaux-Arts style.

The completion of the entire project is targeted by the end of July 2014 with a total project cost of $82.8 million.

Sponsorships Throughout 2013 Online Concrete Cutting Services sponsored some great local sporting teams and charity events.

One of our sponsorships is our own Paul Gambell and Steve Quinn who had some fun at this years Silver City 1000 off road racing and even made the cover of Dirt Comp Magazine. Awesome job Paul.

Online Concrete Cutting Services has been a long time major sponsor of the Winston Hills Tigers Junior Rugby League Club and the Managing Director of Online Concrete Cutting Services Steve Wylde has been a coach for the team for the past 3 years.

The boys played hard this year. Well done boys.

We also sponsor a women’s netball team, who played some tremendous games throughout the year.

Online Concrete Cutting Services was also involved in fundraising campaigns for Dry July which helps adults living with cancer, Spinal Cord Injuries Australia; we sponsored a family fun day at Blackwell Primary School in St Clair.

Online Concrete Cutting Services Surprise the staff For the end of year Christmas Party in 2013, staff were taken on a wild ride of white water rafting in Penrith followed by a relaxing lunch over looking the Nepean river at the rowers club.
