FROM THE MAN WITH THE TECHNICOLOURED DREAMCOAT
NICK LOVEGROVE Programme Leader n.lovegrove@herts.ac.uk
I have the greatest pleasure in introducing this year’s graduates, who have passed with f lying colours. I hope you’re tickled pink by their ideas, visual ingenuity, attention to detail and intellectual understanding. They really are the cream of the crop. We pride ourselves as an ideas-based course, one that champions clever concepts above all else. This year’s students are experts in using their grey matter to solve briefs not just perfectly – but in exciting and unexpected and ways too. As well as challenging self-directed projects, students have also had the opportunity to work on live projects with successful individuals, cutting edge design studios as well as blue chip companies.
Taking the reigns running such a well-respected course has been a pleasure. The teaching team works tirelessly to make sure every student reaches his potential. Our graduates are now working in many of the highest regarded design agencies around the world and we pride ourselves on bringing them back in to speak to our current students. This yeargroup have worked together better than ever before, showing their true colours despite the odd red herring. They have been a pleasure to teach and I wish them every success for the future. If you can offer them a golden opportunity, please feel free to contact them directly or contact me for advice.
P FOR FLY FLI IN
Over the last decade, students on this course have won nearly 70 major national and international awards. This year’s cohort has already added to that total and we look forward to many more years of success.
