Title: The Line The collection The Line, is inspired by the book: The Big Five for Life by John P Strelecky, his story replicas a powerful vision and reminder that life is about our own purpose for existence. The book takes the process of life and garnishes it with finding one’s own personal purpose for existing. The meaning of life has inspired the garment, which holds memories and personal histories. New material constructions and finishes replicate the laundered surfaces of a well-loved wardrobe. The process of deconstruction and reconstruction brings transition between space and time, morphing together seamlessly. With scarce features and a purifying aesthetic, spaces provide the perfect pause, creating natural havens for clean, uncluttered contemplations of the essence of life. The modern tailoring and relaxed controlled occasion wear items of tomorrow merge with, the cool, sportswear looks that continues to embrace the human body. The collection plays with dimensions, lengths, cuts and a hint of drapery, allowing for a stern rebuilt look. The muted color palette is comprised of a selection of monochrome deep blacks and freshened up by a subtle infusion of powder whites. Toneon-tone looks make a statement while the focus remains on proportion and textural contrasts. The lush garments are crafted in sleek cottons, contrasted with rigid rubber coated canvas, and comfortable brushed wools. Our story of life comes together to show the beauty in transition the transformation of what was to what is, from hard to soft and overlay to underlay.
