Note from the Director

Ever since I was eight years old, I have loved musical theatre. It touches my heart and makes me feel human in a way that other art forms cannot. This show has always been special to me. I feel like there is at least one character in the show that will resonate with each member of the audience. This show makes me laugh and it makes me cry. In the end, it leaves me with a sense of optimism about life. That’s why I love the theatre so much! Please enjoy our production of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”. — Neil Compton

Neil Compton

A veteran of the stage, Neil has acted in musical theatre since the age of eight. He has performed with various universities and community theatre companies in Michigan and Colorado. This is Neil’s second performance with Totem Theatre and his first in a director/producer role.

Maali Kidd

Coming from a theatrically inclined family, Maali was not encouraged to have any other interest! Luckily for her (and us!), her love of theatre and performing has seen her be involved in many productions. Not only is she a dynamic actress, she is also well versed on the production side of things - last year she directed the successful Totem musical, “Young Frankenstein”.

Crystal Pollitt

Crystal came straight out of the womb and onto the stage leaving her with a lasting love of performing. She revels in being dramatic both on and off stage and plans on doing as many plays and musicals as she can. Her goal in life is to own an animal sanctuary and pet resort.

Ben Poona

This is Ben's second show with Totem Theatre, he previously played the Monster in “Young Frankenstein” last year. Ben has worked extensively as an actor, backing singer and choreographer, both in Australia and New Zealand. He is excited to be part of another Totem Theatre show and hopes that you'll "Keep Coming Back"!

Cicily Sivkart

Cicily’s involvement with theatre while at school here in Alice Springs inspired her to move to Adelaide and attend the drama school, Actor's Ink. Moving to the UK, she worked as an actress and in theatre production in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now back in Alice, Cicily is an Assistant Teacher/Administrator for Totem Youth Theatre. She has a keen interest to learn more about film production alongside learning to grow her own vegetables and live a sustainable lifestyle.

Kirryn Wilkinson

Kirryn has been passionate about theatre for as long as she can remember. She has been involved in many performances as an actress, dancer and/or singer in Alice Springs and around Australia. She has also worked in theatre production as a director, stage manager and production assistant for both local and national touring shows. In her spare time Kirryn plays guitar and sings for the local band, “Malarkey”.
