Design Brief : A Design Proposal for development of 3/4/5 Star Hotel with commercial activity on a plot situated near Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The site bye-laws are taken in accordance to the Bhumi Vikas Adhiniyam document Provided by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
The proposal is a 100 bedded hotel along with commercial and banquet facilities. Site area : 22,885 sqm Ground coverage : 5,400 sqm Built-up area : 25,632 sqm Building height : 37.2 m

The Lower Lake of Bhopal is situated north-east to the site, hence large balconies are provided to the suites to capitalize on this aspect. The restaurants, pool and banquet facilities are also provided towards the lake side to get the users away from the busy highway on the west.

Student Housing | The Habitat - Archmello | 2020
Design Brief : A Design Proposal to address the unmet demand of student housing across India through innovative architectural solution. The competition required us to design residential modules that can be repeated through out the country that could enhance the students community. The site for the project was given in Pune, Maharashtra.

Three types of units are designed to accommodate 1, 2 and 4 users. Sleeping area, studying area, pantry, bathing area and a balcony is provided in each type of unit. Wooden sliding partitions and bamboo curtains are used to divide the spaces to make them flexible as per the users interests. The cupboards are also designed as individual cubicles which could be altered

Sliding and rotating wooden panels used as partitions to address the privacy needs of the users whilst making the space flexible to the students needs.
Foldable windows through out the external wall to increase the openness of the space, which could also be configured depending on the users needs.
The cupboards are designed as individual cubicles that could be attached with each other using groves to model them to the users likings.
Sports is a fields that induces interaction between the students and develops sportsman spirit, hence various sports facilities are provided to engage the students.

Primary school | The Attendance - Archmello | 2020 Design Brief : A Design Proposal to address the poor conditions of government schools in India by designing a Model school that could be repeated across the nation. The challenge required us to design a school for 400 students from class 1 to 8 with all state of the art facilities in Patna, Bihar.

The basic module for a set of classrooms is derived from a hexagon.
The modules are clubbed together to form the academic block.
The hexagon is divided into six units, each forming a classroom with a courtyard in the middle.
An area is provided between the hexagons to form a lobby space.

Academic block - Ground floor plan All functions are segregated into different blocks placed around the site so that the children does not feel isolated into one large building for the entire day.

Residence | Academic Project | 2019 Design Brief : A Design Proposal to make a 4-BHK residence for a newly married couple in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
A contemporary style duplex with a living, dining, a family living, kitchen, balcony, open terraces, deck, car porch and 4 bedrooms each having an attached toilet was designed. The interior spaces are well designed to cater cross ventilation and to bring in external light. The double heighted spaces ensures comfort of the family by reducing the room temperature whilst also making the interaction between the two floors easier. The project also provides a gorgeous landscape around the building a that enhances the structure’s beauty and the user’s living experience. 28

Housing | Academic Project | 2020 Design Brief : A Design Proposal to make a high-rise high-density housing near Hathaikheda Dam in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The Housing has to be built according to the norms provided in the Bhumi Vikas Adhiniyam document by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
A residential complex of 10 towers each having 15 floors was designed. The apartments experience a splendid view of the dam adjacent to the site. The design ensures the utilization of maximum F.A.R of the site. Amenities like parks, swimming pool, kindergarten, gym, jogging track, administration, and stores are also provided within the site. Two levels of basement parking is also provided for the complex. Site area : 55,811 sqm Number of units : 900 Built-up area : 105,900 sqm Building height : 45 m Parking area : 42,700 sqm 34

Design Brief : To document a typical dwelling unit and analyse the living habits and construction techniques of the Garo tribe in Meghalaya.

The Garos are an indigenous TibetoBurman ethnic group from the Indian subcontinent, notably found in the Indian state of Meghalaya. They are the second largest tribe in Meghalaya after the Khasi and comprise about a third of the local population. The Garos are one of the few remaining matrilineal societies in the world.
