Spanish B1 (Beginning Spanish) is an introduction to the pronunciation, and functional vocabulary for everyday communication. The four language skills of listening-understanding, speaking, reading and writing are emphasized. Students are made aware of the cultural aspects of the language, and the particular culture of Spanish speaking societies. Students will be able to follow and participate in simple interactions. This course emphasizes the four language skills, grammar, and vocabulary in order to develop communication with a good command of the mechanism of the language. Cultural aspects of the language and the particular culture of Spanish speaking societies are studied. The student will be able to read and write comprehensively and use the languages interactively.
