HIS is to inform the people of Edo State that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the 3rd phase of the distribution of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) and Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in 12 States including Edo State for September, 2014. Everyone who has a temporary voters’ card is expected to go to his Polling Unit level where he/she registered for collection of the Permanent Voter’s Card. At the end of the Polling Unit level distribution, uncollected PVCs will be taken to the INEC office in each of the Local Government for subsequent collection. Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) for those who had not previously registered and for those who had just attained the age of 18, will hold for five days after collection of the Permanent Voters’ Cards. All Edo people are enjoined to take advantage of this exercise to be eligible to vote in the coming 2015 General Election and subsequent elections in the State.
