Nigeria Deports 414 illegal immigrants

KATSINA - The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) said it has repatriated 414 illegal immigrants within the last 10 days. The NIS Comptroller, Alhaji Umar Bulama, said during a press briefing in

Katsina that, the repatriation was carried out from June 12 to 23, adding that those deported were mostly from Niger Republic. According to him the

bio-metric data of all those repatriated had been documented and forwarded to Immigration Mobile Patrol Officers to aid in tracking down anyone of them that may return

illegally. He said that no immigrant would be allowed to stay in the country unless with valid documents. Bulama said the command was working with

Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Benin City yesterday struck out two applications of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filed against Hon. Solomon Eromosele, the Chairman and a councilor in Esan Central Local Government area of Edo State.
