The Director-General, Debt Management Office (DMO), Dr. Abraham Nwankwo who presented a paper on the topic: Contributions of debt management to e c o n o m i c transformation, pointed out that Nigeria was
faced with the problem of data before the establishment of the Debt Management Office in 2010. He added that the DMO is very critical and strategic for debt management, both local and foreign, given the function it plays to give Nigeria a good image at the international level. Dr. Nwankwo said “When you see the public debt, one wonders what money was used for.” While stating that no state has the individual authority to borrow
money, without the approval of the Federal Government and the
National Assembly, Nwankwo noted that if all states do what they
ought to do interms of development, Nigeria will be transformed.

G O V E R N O R Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has commissioned a hundred units of Suzuki cars procured by Ikpoba Okha Local Government of the state for distribution to former motorcycle riders who were banned from operating in the area. all vehicles old or new used for commercial purposes are painted in the taxi colour approved by the State Government.
