Where are you from? I’m from the south of Ireland, from a little town called Carlow.

How long have you lived in Ibiza? A long time now, I arrived here in 1999 aged 19.

What was the first party you attended on the Island, and what was the first one you organised? The first memorable party I attended in Ibiza was Manumission. I, like many other young Irish and British arriving in Ibiza for the first time started out in San Antonio, I was pretty underwhelmed by the whole experience until that first Manumission party, I remember walking down the steps of privilege and seeing about six thousand ravers, the dj suspended above the pool and a human disco ball swinging from the ceiling, mad scenes in all directions and I remember thinking, ok this is more like it, this is where it’s at. It was the opening party, the Happy Mondays played that night. The first party I organised was an unofficial after-party for Space. Space on Sundays was still a daytime party in ’99, people would leave the club at midnight when the terrace closed as it was open air then. I organised the afters at a place called Ancient People with some friends. In true promoter spirit we all fell out and I ended up doing a rival party in the bar next door, I got a young Space pr as my new weekly coresident, that dj was Jamie Jones, I hear he’s doing alright now.

What is Vitalik? Vitalik was the culmination of the free parties and pirate radio we were organising, it was the underground spirit of what we were doing in Ibiza back then, once we had our home at Space we introduced people like Shonky, Dyed Soundorom, Anthony Collins, Spencer Parker, Audiojack and such to our program. Myself and Luciano Esse were ¿Quién eres? Mi nombre es Ryan O Gorman, también conocido como Jesuslovesacid, hijo adoptivo de Ibiza, DJ, productor, creativo.

¿De donde eres? Soy del sur de Irlanda, un pequeño pueblo llamado Carlow.

¿Hace cuánto tiempo que vives en Ibiza? Hace mucho tiempo, llegué aquí en 1999 a los 19 años.

¿Cuál fue la primera fiesta que has asistido en la Isla, y cuál la primera que organizaste? La primera fiesta memorable a la que asistí en Ibiza fue Manumission. Yo, como muchos otros jóvenes irlandeses y británicos que llegan a Ibiza por primera vez, empecé en San Antonio, estaba bastante decepcionado por toda la experiencia hasta esa primera fiesta de Manumission, recuerdo bajar los escalones de Privilege y ver unos seis mil ravers, el DJ suspendido sobre la piscina y una bola de disco humana balanceándose desde el techo, locas escenas en todas direcciones y recuerdo haber pensado, ok esto es más así, aquí es donde está. Era la fiesta de inauguración, la Happy Mondays sonó esa noche. La primera fiesta que organicé fue un after-party no oficial para Space. Space on Sundays seguía siendo una fiesta diurna en el 99, la gente salía del club a medianoche cuando la terraza cerraba ya que estaba al aire libre entonces. Yo organicé Afters en un lugar llamado Ancient People con algunos amigos. Con verdadero espíritu de promotor, todos nos peleamos y terminé haciendo una fiesta rival en el bar de al lado, conseguí a un joven PR de Space como mi nuevo coresident semanal, ese DJ era Jamie Jones, escuché que lo está haciendo bien ahora.

¿Qué es Vitalik? Vitalik fue la culminación de las fiestas libres y la radio pirata que estábamos organizando, fue el espíritu underground de lo que estábamos haciendo en Ibiza en ese entonces, una vez que tuvimos nuestra casa en Space, presentamos a personas como Shonky, Dyed Soundorom, Anthony Collins, Spencer Parker, Audiojack y tales a nuestro programa. the weekly residents. We had moved from the Red Box to the Discoteca, Vitalik opened the 22 hour marathon that was We Love Space, starting at 7am. I remember Pepe Rosello walking into he DJ both in the Discoteca on our closing party in 2007 and telling us what a great job we had done, he told us the he hadn’t seen it like that since their heyday of morning parties but that it was a shame that the next year, morning parties would be no more, and so it was, they put a stop to the happy people in the morning the following year, that was our last legal after-party in Ibiza. The socialists came down pretty hard on the party scene in 2008 so we took a break from night clubs and started the record label. 14 years later and 35 releases we are still going strong. This year the opportunity arose to open our creative space, we have a 7 unit studio complex just outside Ibiza town with audio production suites, film edit suites and a broadcast suite available for hire with our in-house engineers. We are very early days but we have created the space for people to learn, create Box a la Discoteca, Vitalik abrió el maratón de 22 horas de We Love Space que fue a partir de las 7 am. Los socialistas fueron bastante duros en la escena de las fiestas en 2008, así que nos tomamos un descanso de los clubes nocturnos y comenzamos el sello discográfico. 14 años después y 35 lanzamientos, seguimos con fuerza.Este año se presentó la oportunidad de abrir nuestro espacio creativo, tenemos un complejo de estudios de 7 unidades a las afueras de la ciudad de Ibiza con producción de audio suites, suites de edición de películas y una suite de transmisión disponibles para alquilar con nuestros ingenieros internos. Nosotros estamos en los inicios, pero hemos creado el espacio para que las personas

Where can we see you play this summer? I am resident at Pikes, you can catch me poolside playing an eclectic mix of sunshine music or you can come see me do my dance floor thing in Freddies for our Vitalik parties which I highly recommend, 2Vilas and Audiojack are headlining our next event. I just played an amazing gig with Carl Craig at El Silencio which I hope to repeat soon. I’ll be playing Jara at The Standard with Mark Broadbent next month which I’m really looking forward to and there is talk of the Ibiza celebrations for Bushwacka’s 50th, more on that to come.

ND has come from being part of a new company, that we have been able to work with some new partners during the pandemic and we have founded Backstage. Will you be informed about the new technologies that are being developed in web3? We are going to do NFT ticketing, Marketplace and Metaverse We would very much like you to be our ambassador. You sign up? We are working on a series of audio visual NFTs. Gavin McKenzie, my colleague from Audyssey is creating an Ableton template designed to generate binaural and isochronic tones. We are sending this template to ¿Dónde podremos verte tocar este verano? Each artist will work with the same template, the same generators but will have their own unique arrangements and melodies. Different binaural and isochronic tones create different mind states, it’s not just an emotive response it’s actually effecting your brain waves. Gavin works with Roxiva RX1 stroboscopic Lamp in his sound and light therapy sessions. In addition to the selected works being minted to the blockchain the will be also be made available for use in conjunction with the Roxiva lamp sessions. a los artistas en nuestros estudios en nuestra lista como un tipo de reimaginación del remix.
