nobody really needs a clock
Nobody really needs a clock. That’s why our clocks tell interesting stories, not just the time. We are not artists, but spend our lives in the pursuit of functional beauty. In the tradition of dutch design, we believe that concept is king. In everything we do, we strive to meet the highest possible standards. If that means changing the way things are done, so be it. We respect tradition, but challenge convention. We are LEFF amsterdam, clock masters since 2011.
We believe that life’s too beautiful for dull design and boring basics. That’s why we founded LEFF amsterdam. All LEFF amsterdam products are designed by international designers, developed with personality and style and the utmost attention to durability and quality. We hope you enjoy using our products as much as we did making them.

our concept
It goes without saying, that our beautiful clocks should be in a beautiful packaging. We’ve put a lot of effort into creating the finest unpacking experience.
In designing our clocks, we collaborate with renowned designers from all over the world. Every designer adds his own signature to our collection and defines the character of our brand. You can be sure that you posess an authentic designed piece. We believe that responsible products originate with responsible design. Not just in our choice of materials, but also in the way we construct the product. Therefore, our clocks are founded upon their quality and precision movement. After all, the main function of a clock is to indicate the time. We assemble our clocks by hand with the highest attention to quality. At the end of the production line, we check all our clocks for defects to ensure you receive the best product possible. Since we are confident with our products and their quality, we provide 5 year warranty on the movement and production defects. 6
From our experience we understand that after your purchase you want to install your clock right away. That’s why our clocks come with a service pack we have designed and composed ourselves. No need to go back to the store, just lean back and enjoy your timepiece. 7
In my work, I aspire to take absolute artistic freedom so that I can explore ideas with no limitations. Though unintentionally, this often results in creating concepts that match the demands of the design industry. My designs are mainly objects that can be found in our day-to-day life. The objects that I create are simple, poetic, have a focus on color, material, and tell a story while still keeping their functionality.

hazy35 - LT21003 Ø35cm/13.8” - depth: 6,8cm/2.7”
While designing the hazy, Ivan was inspired by blurred images. These images create a sense of excitement, imagination and clarity within the illusion. The opaque face distorts the context and origin of the hands, allowing a dreamy and floating appearance. PP front / ABS back / japanese movement / AA battery / designed by ivan kasner

As an industrial designer, I want to make ordinary products extraordinary - both in form and function. I design everyday products that are familiar and logical, but with their own unique character. My vision on design is clear - a good product has the right looks, is smooth to use and cool to have.

tile25 - LT19001 h:25cm/9.8” w:25cm/9.8” - d: 8cm/3.15”
The tile is designed as a minimalistic interior object that can either stand or hang on a wall. The softened square shape in combination with timeless ceramics and contemporary bamboo, gives this clock its subtle character. bamboo hands / japanese movement / AA battery / designed by robert bronwasser

Responsibility is a big topic in my work and my process of product design. At the beginning is always the question of need. Material, craftsmanship and technology are important considerations when creating solutions which don’t respond to trends, but rely on usability and sustainability.

felt
felt35 - LT17001 Ø35cm/13.8” - depth: 6,8cm/2.7”
felt35 - LT17002 Ø35cm/13.8” - depth: 6,8cm/2.7”
felt35 - LT17003 Ø35cm/13.8” - depth: 6,8cm/2.7”
Sebastian wanted the clock to have a distinctive nature, but with a message. In consideration of time and material usage, this clock is made out of 60% recycled PET. The PET felt allows a single-step production, offers sound dampening properties and provides a non-obtrusive aesthetic. PET felt body / japanese movement / AA battery / designed by sebastian herkner

felt two - LT17013 w: 19,5cm/ 7.7” - h: 21cm/8.3” - d: 8cm/3.1”
As an accompaniment to his first design, Sebastian designed the felt two. This clock is a reinterpretation of the preceding felt wall clock; the different approach of function, material and shape leads to an iconic clock that can stand on its own. When closely viewed, the texture of the pressed felt becomes visibly apparent as a perfect match with the bamboo back cover. The ultimate heavy duty piece of our collection. A vintage flip clock, reinvented and redesigned, with a unique combination of materials and graphics. Inside the stainless steel case a precision machine provides you a different composition of numbers every minute. The case is welded and brushed by hand which brings this clock to a high level of craftsmanship. This clock can be displayed on a desk or hung on the wall. stainless steel -or- copperplated case / 2 x D battery / designed by erwin termaat

block - LT90201 w: 8,5cm/3.3” - h: 8,5cm/3.3” - d: 6cm/2.4”
Block is an alarm clock with a small but strong appearance. A fusion of aesthetics and functionality, and a compromise between delicacy and robustness. The design is simple, but with a lot of surprising details. At night the fluorescent hands will become visible and the whole dial can be lit up by pushing the snooze button on top. stainless steel case -or- copperplated case / fluorescent hands / led light / alarm movement / AA battery / designed by erwin termaat

scope45 - LT30025 Ø45cm /17.7” - depth: 4,5cm /1.77”
This design shows a different perspective on time. Every angle will give a new experience. Erwin emphasized the inseparable elements time and light in the scope. Time is based on light and darkness and so is the shape of this clock. Twelve segments play with light and darkness as you pass. polystyrene body / japanese movement / AA battery / designed by erwin termaat

My works are always inspired by three principles; the function, the materials and the details of the everyday object. The shape and structure of the wyzer are inspired by PET bottles. The properties of this plastic enable the hands to be extremely light and thin, yet with great stability. The clock is composed of mainly two parts. Only two large hands are visible. Any wall has potential as an attractive background, blurring the boundary between clock and room.

More than two hands, this clock is a graphic composition displaying time. A constantly changing wall decoration for 12 hours long. This clock comes with a high torque german movement to guarantee a perfect and reliable timepiece. Reinhard chose three unique colour combinations to add even more to the character of this design. After designing and developing home accessories, including clocks, for many years, it is a challenge to design and create ultimate ‘no limit’ timepieces from scratch for LEFF amsterdam. We have created the new standard in time by creating timeless works of art. New dimensions, new standards, new looks. It is great to be part of LEFF amsterdam!

one45 - LT10003 Ø45cm/17.7” - depth: 6,2cm/2.44”
The design of the one clocks is instantly classic; an iconic design recognised for its timelessness, quality and durability. The brushed stainless steel frame combined with the back cover makes this clock feel solid and reliable. Inside, a precise japanese movement will indicate the right time. brushed stainless steel frame / white index dial / japanese movement / available with radio controlled movement / AA battery / designed by wiebe teertstra

one45 - LT10013 Ø45cm/17.7” - depth: 6,2cm/2.44”
In addition to the index range, wiebe also designed an arabic dial. The clock is identical to the one index, except for the graphics of the dial. Its delicate hands and slim stainless steel edge give a nice contrast with the robust thickness of the clock. A perfect balance in these elements creates a pleasant and neutral clock as attractive decoration. brushed stainless steel frame / white arabic dial / japanese movement / available with radio controlled movement / AA battery / designed by wiebe teertstra

tone35 - LT16003 Ø35cm /13.8” - depth: 6,2cm/2.44”
The contrast in this design is not formed by the colours itself, but by its finish. A glossy transparent spot varnish is printed on the matte dial to create a so-called ton-sur-ton effect. Depending on the light, the index print is clearly visible, slightly visible or not even visible at all. Let light set the tone. coated stainless steel frame / index dial / japanese movement / AA battery / designed by wiebe teertstra

The ultimate melting pot; coloured glass with a stainless steel edge. A clock in the most basic way, built up out of a detailed cut ring fixed to the glass. The simple index of the clock makes it look familiar yet unique. The movement holder on the back lifts the clock a bit from the wall creating an optical illusion in your room. glass body / aluminium index / japanese movement / AA battery / designed by wiebe teertstra
