SITE : ANUPAM COMPLEX, SAKET , NEW DELHI SITE AREA : 51580 SQM Anupam complex is located in cetral part of saket, in south delhidistrict. The complex is surrounded by 4 schools in close vicinity and 4 more in the same district area. On the northern side lies a massive green belt area comprising of a graveyard, nursery and a sports complex. Pvr anupam is the first multiplex established in india and through the time has evolved in a major social hub for people living around the complex and even the residential areas surrounding saket. The hub has developed a popular image for the variety of food chains present there.

CONTEXT Major mixed use roads around anupam complex, saket (Row 24m each) connects saket to the mehrauli-badarpur road, press enclave marg & mandir marg, small scale commercial activities along the road spread between major spots on the unutilised footpaths.
It serves as an important urban space as it offers spaces not just for the formal Food eateries and coffee shops but also for casual sitting spaces around the complex.
PROBLEMS LANDUSE PLAN - SAKET
The vision aim at a development project that targets to revitalize and develope the complex as a PHYSICALLY ACTIVE ZONE by providing fun sports activities, pedestrian and cycling corridors to connect site with public transport, to reduce vehicular traffic arround site.
NEEDS -Side lane parking facility -Ample lighting on the pedestrian pathway -Treatment of drain -Proper spaces for local vendors
POTENTIAL

SECTION - D
-Building outward open character of anupam complex towards the road -More pedestrian friendly zone -Opening up the greens to the main streets -Breaking the boundaries for community outreach
FROM INDIA’S FIRST MULTIPLEX TO INDIA’S FIRST ACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT HUB.
SPORTS COMPLEX The major green i n the zone b elongs t o the sports complex which has a restricted entry. The other greens in the zone have also been restricted due to boundary walls and isolated e nclaves. THE APPROACH WAS TO RE-THINK THE FUNCTION OF IT BEING JUST AN AREA FOR PROFESSIONAL SPORTS PRACTICE A ND TRAINING AND BRING IT ON OUR SITE. The intent was to introduce activities that p romote p hysical movement while having a fun and not technical sports oriented.
PROPOSED MASTER PLAN HUMAN INTERACTION The site acts as a h angout s pace f or p eople ina and around saket. There are no major hangout spaces except for small scale eateries like campa gali and local level markets outside saket. The main reasons for footfall on the site id due to its being the only hangout s pace a s well a s other design f eatures l ike its human scale and built to unbuilt ratio. No regulated entry exits and boundary walls which makes the space very informal. THE APPROACH WAS TO MAKE IT AS A CITY LEVEL HANGOUT SPACE WHEERE ALL KIND O F ENTERTAINMENT A CTIVITIES HAPPEN.
MIXEDUSE CHARACTER As per master plan 2021, the two adjacent roads running along the site are described and proposed as mixed use streets however, t here i s still p otential i n them. The publicness o f the zone i s only t hrough t he m ixed u se character of t hese streets. THE APPROACH W AS T O CHANNELISE THIS POTENTIAL BY ADDING MIXED USE RETAIL ON BOTH SIDES.

SITE LOCATION- DWARKA SECTOR -16C SITE AREA- 24750SQM PERIPHERAL ARRANGEMENT
This design focuses mainly on Providing multi-level interactive spaces that is achieved because of the voids created in the building mass along with staggered units of different areas that made the design more flexible and helped in incorporating climatic Considerations.
The main approach was to provide an open space to every unit which they can call their own keeping in mind that large open spaces do not go unused or smaller balconies are not encroached and taken inside the houses.
7.
Peripheral arrangement in order to fit thr required no. Of units, by splitting the towers tried to arranged them adjacently to one another with a common wall
FINAL ARRANGEMENT -Grid (8m x 5m) -Overlooking balconies -Reduced the no. Of Individual terraces -Stacking similar units on each other for larger voids to made the terraces more propotionate and usable

By placing majority 80sq m units on the ground floor. It had added to their value as well as cleared space for landscaping on the site plan. Site planning is done keeping in mind the case studies and combining the good points of giving one large yet usable space by dividing it into smaller zones catering to allage groups from toddlers to elders. G
ONE MAIN AXIS Site planning has been done in such a way that one central visual axis is maintained throughout the site. Thus units in block f start from third floor to give a gateway entrance feel to the society.
COMMUTING ON THE SITE The pedestrian pathway connect all clusters on the site. The pergola makes it easy to commute on the site in harsh conditions and the gazeebo becomes a pleasing place to sit and take a view of the site.
HOUSING THE ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION
SOUTH ELEVATION
Ews units have been incorporated in the form so that their dwelling does not look alienated. But at the same time, they have been given a vertical stacking of their own with no other units in between. Space for their activities like shops have been provided in the stilts under their blocks. The location of the shops has been kept central so that it is at equal distance from all sides.

PARKING Surface parking has bee limited to the setback area only towards the site boundary to keep vehicular traffic away from the central axis. Separate visitor parkings have been provided towards the front setback only limiting their movement inside the site. The parking has been barricaded with a line of trees to reduce visual connection. The basement parking has been restricted to only one basement level for better ventilation purpose asa well to the periphery of the built mass so that trees can be planted outside the periphery. Giving everybody the facility of accessibility from the basement to their block core was also kept in mind.

The terraces and staggers create a sociofugal and sociopetal space. The visual interaction and sense of togetherness is maintained as well as the personal space is taken care of. So, at upper levels staggering has been done to create terraces which reduce the bulky built mass and provide open sitting and these teraaces can also be used as formal exibition events.

ENCROACHMENT BY SHOPS
A hollow cylindrical shear wall in the centre of the statue forms the core of the structure.
After the core was built, pre -fabricated meshes of various elements were attached to it, which were then cast in situ. The concrete form was then sculpted with intricate details. Subsequently, a coat of paint added life to the statue.
The weight of the structure is with concrete upto the knees.

CONCLUSION ALL THE ROADS MENTIONED ARE ARTERIAL ROADS. THE SPEED IS EXPECTED TO BE SAME. BUT DUE TO DIFFERENCE IN ACTIVITIES SURROUNDING EACH ROAD, THE RESULTANT SPEED ON EACH ROAD IS DIFFERENT. THE ROAD IN FRONT OF HANUMAN MANDIR I.E. LINK ROAD IS CROWDED DESPITE RETAINING ITS ORIGINAL WIDTH. CONGESTION OCCURS DUE TO THE PEDESTRIAN MOVEMENT TOWARDS THE TEMPLE, UNAUTHORISED PARKING AS WELL AS ENCROACHMENT BY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES. HOWEVER, ACTIVITIES SURROUNDING THE TEMPLE ARE NOT THE ONLY FRICTION POINT . THE INTERSECTION BETWEEN PUSA ROAD AND AJMAL KHAN ROAD SEES THE CROSSING OF TRAFFIC PATHS, WHICH CAUSES MAJOR CONGESTION. THIS CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO INEFFICIENT PLANNING, SUPPLEMENTED BY THE PERPETUAL CHAOS AND COMMOTION WHICH SURROUNDS THE MARKET AND RESIDENTIAL AREAS OF KAROL BAGH.

NASA LANDSCAPE OF COMMEMORATION
Is architecture just a skin? Hollowed out by multiplicity of tiny utopian expressions of opulence and illusion ascribing every inch of space with a false significance. The idea-to bring the disclosure to the otherwise aloof public - an urban artefact, a ‘container’ of containers peeling away the national front to reveal the accumulation of objects, a patchwork of images and the equipment that helps program the interiority that one operates so seamlessly within today.
The proposal is the commemoration and phantasmagorical Critique of junk space. It is a speculative reinterpretation of the City’s rising commercial belt, as an Urban artefact and forming a new Industrial park at the city’s central Park hybridizing the mechanical functions and processes of industry With the mechanics of amusement Juxtaposing themes of consumerism, manufacturing, tourism and pleasure.

DOCUMENTING EARTQUAKE SENSITIVE ARCHITECTURE
KOTI BANAL ARCHITECTURE
SITE - BARKOT, UTTARKASHI, UTTARAKHAND VILLAGE DOCUMENTED : GONA Uttarakand falls in the very high damage risk zone in terms of seismic zones (zone 4.50. The typology of constructing buildings that are resistant to earthquakes had been in force for over a 1000 years. As it’s own vernacular response to earthquake prone conditions, the district of Barkot, practises a unique style of architecture known as Koti-Banal architecture. This is done primarily in local materials like stone and wood. For a detailed documentation, a team of 40 students travelled to Barkot in december 2017. The students covered 7 villages in detail, studying the typologies, demographics, socio-economic features along with measured drawings of 2 building each from 3 villages. This led to not only understand the architecture, but also the culture and traditional values of villages.

CO-WORKING & LIVING INCUBATION CENTRE
RENT EVERYTHING, OWN NOTHING are willing to stream media and share vehicles instead of owning them, would they be willing to do the same with their workspace and home?
DWARKA, DELHI
FUTURE RESIDENTS ENGAGE IN SUBSCRIPTION LIVING. INDIA TODAY HAS THE SECOND LARGEST STARTUP ECOSYSTEM IN THE WORLD In India, urbanization is taking place at a relatively rapid rate (According to a survey by UN State of the World Population report in 2007, by 2030, 40.76% of country’s population is expected to reside in urban areas) and has one of the highest office space requirements in the world. The total annual office space absorption in India stood at around 41millionsq.ft in 2017. On the other hand, the country is also experiencing growth in the no. of start-ups and freelancer population. Nowadays younger generation prefer to work in places where they can find a communitity of like-minded people. But also a “fun and social” workplace with flexible work hours. So, the aim is to design a coworking workspace consisting independent workspace with more shared spaces, which will focus highly on informal interaction (which leads to the economic benefits of knowledge sharing, team building, and job satisfaction) The main approach was to provide the integration of work and leisure spaces together to promote casual encounters between employees of different fields, creatinga social platform where they can quikly bounce ideas back and forth.
Instead of residing permanently in one place, they'll have a residences owned and furnished by the sameManagement company.
