The goal of this creation was to reduce the use of plastic bags by my high school for commercial purposes. This change was initiated in the sale of books and school supplies at the beginning of the academic year. The JUCO bag was produced using eco-friendly biodegradable dyes and fibers such as jute and cotton. 8000 of such bags were sold in Dubai for USD 7 each.
I am extremely ecstatic to have been able to pioneer a program that has brought about a sense of environmental consciousness in my high school and the eventually amongst other schools and universities in Dubai.
