hello,
i’m niles I am an aspiring designer. My curiosity is always evolving and shaping who I am as a person and a designer. I find inspiration from a large variety of passions and interests that I have accumulated over the years. Through many avenues of expression and exploration such as photography, graphic design, music and digital/analog fabrication I find that all these seemingly independent curiosities and passions can be brought together by architecture. As a result I’ve gained a fascination in human interaction and how design can facilitate different forms of interactions between people, objects, sound, and visuals within a space(s). As a main focus in my design process I look to involve my passions within my design (process) at multiple scales and phases of the design to produce unique design solutions that are collaborative, interactive and engaging.

the terminal’s materiality reinforces it’s conceptual narrative acting as a device in terms of functionality and spatial qualities. the playful narrative of water: wood and glass being surpressed by boulders: cast-in-place concrete, slowly eroding and changing the form of the boulders.
