Using Origami (Japanese folding paper) technique. - When I use paper as a design tool, I can easily find out very beautiful shapes, which I didn't imagine of. For Hana table, you can see spiraled beautiful and gentle curve lines on the petals. - Since the shape come from paper, the plywood petals are stack and easy for shipping. Using Kumiki (Burr puzzle) technique - Influenced of Japanese traditional architecture style Kumiki, which doesn’t use bolts and nail. - Spiral the 5 petals and hang them each other with Kumiki technique, they hold glass top strongly. Carefully made by Made in Japan quality. - The plywood petal legs are made by small wood factory in Tochigi Japan. Materials of the wood are carefully chosen, so you can enjoy beautiful wood grain through the glass top. - Plywood product sounds mass production, but the Hana plywood petals are press and cut by machine, but grain very carefully by hand one by one. Hana Table was first shown at Milano Salone satellite 2009 in Milan. material : beech plywood, tempered glass weight : HC1100 9.3kg(leg) 23kg(glass) HC900 4.4kg(leg) 18kg(glass) Made in Japan (leg) Made in Cnina (glass) HC1100 1100mmΦ × 350mmH(12mm glass)Recommended Retail Price: 160,000 JPY
