ABOUT My name is Nina Marešová and I was born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since I was little, art was my passion and that is something that never changed. An opportunity to graduate high school in an international school of Bratislava allowed me to develop passion for foreign cultures and travel, something I try to explore in my projects as a designer. In 2013, shortly after my graduation, I moved to Rome, Italy where I completed my bachelor’s degree in Interior & Product Design. Currently I am searching for new adventures and opportunities which would allow me to improve in what I love so much Design.

QUO /BA Thesis This work was focused on creating innovative design for a motor home, as they do offer an underused yet interesting alternative way of tourism. It was concluded that recreational vehicles have a great potential which is however obscured by not as flattering reputation. After the initial research of tourism the main goal changed and the work became focused on the improvement of users experience, and hence promoting the usage of recreational vehicles as a means of travel during one’s recreational time. After extensive research of social media usage and the use of electronic devices, it was concluded that in order to modernize the use of recreational vehicles, it would be advantageous to combine it with a mobile phone app. In the end, it was decided that the best way to approach this project is by creating two separate elements, able unite in a fluid synergy, cooperating and yet able to stand separate as two independent objects. Along with the interior of a motor home, a mobile phone app was proposed as a second part of this project. It was meant offer a possibility of online rent from the comfort of one’s home, thus modernizing the use of motor homes. The app was given several initial points, including personal profiles, possibility to book personalized RV through the app, maps and GPS navigation system. The possibility of communication between the users was also implemented. 4

When it comes to the motor homes, the ideology was to create a versatile design of the interior, which would be modern and have the possibility to be adapted to visual preferences of the current user. The language used within the motor home corresponds on basic level with the language of the mobile app. Simple, polished and minimalistic. However that being said, it is not a style that may be appropriate for everyone. In order to adapt it to all tastes concept of themes was implemented. In the end, no specific themes were chosen for this project, instead it was focused on showing the versatility of the interiors and showing as many alternatives as possible. Project Quo in the end resulted in simple, versatile design that has much to offer and can be adapted to user’s needs. Two versions of floor plan, each with multiple possible themes, create the possibility for the tourist to select a version which suits them best. The interior was intended to have more modern and sleek look than other recreational vehicles on the market, whether for sale or rent. It combines the practicality of online rent with the comfort of travelling in luxury of a home. Communication, trust and personalization form the base of this design. Project Quo is ultimately meant to be suitable for all age groups, and people with wide range of lifestyles.

WATERFRONT RESORT /Hotel Idea behind this design concept was to create a hotel complex using ship containers, with modern yet luxurious interiors, at the same time as being minimalistic to keep the main focus of attention on the scenery surrounding it. Reception was joined with the restaurant area which offers seating area in both interior and exterior. An exterior lounge area was positioned on the center of this complex, completed with bar, changing rooms, showers and sun beds. This concept offers three types of rooms, all of which were created within a standard structure formed by six shipping containers with length of six meters, with addition of a patio. This solutions offers the option to construct the hotel in wide range of ways, not only the solution proposed. It also allows for possibility of expanding the hotel complex later on. The color palette is based on black and white, with various shades of gray. The only color accent within the interior is the use of white oak for flooring and exterior structures. The smallest of the rooms was formed by one and a half ship containers. It meets the basic needs of travelers, offering a king size bed, TV set, bathroom with a bathtub, spacious wardrobe and portable table with chairs which can be positioned inside or outside. It is ideal for those who want to enjoy all the aspects of this complex at a reasonable prize. Floor plan for the smallest room

Middle sized room was formed by two containers. It contains all the elements of the smaller room with the addition of bigger bathroom with bidet and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking top, sink, storage area above and below the cooking counter. This room was designed for those who prefer to have the option of cooking for themselves. The largest room is the most spacious and luxurious of the rooms. Formed by three whole containers, it is the ideal choice for those who want to fully enjoy their stay. It includes a large bathroom, king size bed, TV set, and lounge area with a couch. This couch can be used as a small bed with the possibility of adding one more small bed, resulting in sleeping space for four.

WAVE BAR /Bar The concept of the design of this bar came from the idea of creating a threedimensional space that enhances its enviornment. A bar that is placed on the edge of a cliff, offering a vast perspective view of a seaside scenery. To accompany the enviornment, the materials used contrast the tones of the colors of the ocean, like copper contrasting with the ocean’s saphire blue. The design elements in the interior follow this theme, and not only reflect the colors of the scenery, but also imitate the forms of the natural waves formed just bellow. Natural materials and shapes used in this bar create hearth warming and relaxing atmosphere that only enhances the beauty of its surrounding. The interior of this bar is designed to increase the utility of the space to its maximum. Bar possitioned at the entrance is reachable and visible. At the same time it does not block the view, which is definitely the most prominent feature of the interior. Spiral staircase is designed in similar manner, where it optically takes up as little space as possible. Second floor consists of more seating and restrooms. The entrance to restrooms is masked by a wall which decoration coresponds with the wall behind it, thus creating an illusion of invisibility. With a LED lights possitioned behind this wave decoration, it is trully more of a art than just a wall. With a same type of decoration positioned on the bar, the interior design obtains a certain fluidity. 11

GRINDELWALD /Villa This concept design based in Grindelwald, Switzerland is intended as a holiday villa. The design of this project was heavily influenced by minimalism, where only the neccesities are present in the interior. This also applies to the inner structure of this design where walls are stripped to bare minimum allowing the creation of open space. Using a warm and earthy color palette as a base with red as an additional strong and vibrant color, the combination creates a strong contrast during the winter and strenghten the feeling of warmth during summer.

ATMOSFERA /Kitchen Hood ATMOSFERA is a design concept inspired by the style of Elica exhaust hoods. Modern and polished design combines practicality with style. Because of its size, it is possible to position it over an kitchen island as well as by the wall kitchen counter. Main light is position in the interior shell, however there is also light built into the edges of the exterior shell for aesthetical purposes. The color scheme of black and white allows for the shape of this exhaust hood to be the main focus.

COMPACT /Minimalistic Kitchen |Portable | Transformable | Economic| A kitchen with the capacity to adapt and transform itself for the necessities of the user. It changes its shape in an evident manner in relation to the state of use. With its additional pieces it will be fitting to any size of household and will provide its users with a variety of functions and a dynamic factor to its aesthetic.
