OGI Eyewear Launches Fashion-Flex Frames “Ogi’s KM Series beautifully combines form and function to create a unique new line of fashion-flex frames intended to please a discerning range of clientele. The collection consists of five intriguing styles that blend together innovative materials with the latest trends in childrens eyewear. All KM frames are constructed of mono-block monel and feature Ogi’s incredibly flexible memory metal temples. Each style is available in a variety of bright colors carefully picked to exemplify the playful nature of the collection” Vision Care Product News, July 2009 “My favorite frame technologies.” 360° Temple Another technical advancement that Nesbit favors is the 360° movement of the hinges in OGI USA’s Spinners. “I like these frames because they have traditional spring hinge action that flexes out for the normal on-and-off motion, but they also can turn 360° for the kids who are rough on their eyewear,” Nesbit asserts. The temples on the Spinners revolve around the frame when excess pressure is applied. When the pressure is released, they can be rotated back into position and lock back into place, eliminating stress on the hinge. “These styles of the OGI Spinners are contemporary and the colors are great,” Nesbit adds. He especially likes the temple treatments, which have different patterns, designs, and color combinations that harmonize with the fronts. There are six kid’s frames in the Spinners collection and the company has just introduced two Spinners’ styles for adults.” Vision Care Product News, April, 2009
Ogi “Spinners” win VIsion Choice Award at Vision Expo West 2008 in Las Vegas. LAS VEGAS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Oct 4, 2008 - Minneapolis, MN - The newly released “Spinners” collection by Ogi frames was selected as the best new product at Vision Expo West 2008. Selected by attendees to the show, this revolutionary kids frame line was highlighted as a new addition to the already impressive Ogi showcase at Vision Expo West 2008. Ogi featured four colorful pieces from the collection set in a revolving mechanical display that twisted the temple hinges on a continual rotation of 360 degrees. The OGI Spinners are the only frames available today that feature this revolutionary temple with the ability to rotate as such. Made possible by an exclusive hinge, the temple smoothly revolves around the front of the frame and then locks back into place. The Spinners unique spring hinge increases durability by nearly eliminating all of the stress placed on the hinge of the frame and assuring a long frame life. Designer David Spencer says, “I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. My team and I have been working hard to develop a new and innovative product line with the Spinners collection, and I think we made a great impression with the attendees at Vision Expo! We’ve also made some great strides with the Spinners collection as an addition to our current product lines: it’s a great step in the evolution of Ogi and the growth of our company, and I hope to continue on this trajectory.”
