Sports: Nona Gaprindashvili

Nona Gaprindashvili (born in 3 may 1941) is a Georgian chess player who won the worlds competition 6 times. (1962-1978) She was the first women to achieve the gdranmaster title.


Violinist: Liana Isakadze

ď‚´ Liana Isakadze-georgian violinist who was in the list , where were best violins of world. He was awarded many times. We must be proud from her. ď‚´ Born-1946 2 august born place-Tbilisi(Georgia)


Artist: Elene Akhvlediani ď‚´ Elene studied at the Tbilisi Academy of Art and in 1892 left for Paris with a group of several other Georgian artists to study. After returning to Tbilisi she continued painting and also did artwork for the stage director Kote Marjanishvili and designed books. In 1939 she was given her own studio, which became a cultural center. Today it is her house museum. Elene was the first Georgian woman awarded the Shota Rustaveli state prize.


Elisabed (liziko) Kavtaradze In 1922 she entered the law faculty of Tbilisi State university and joined an underground monarchist youth organization.In 1928 Elisabed was arrested in Sokhumi and accused of ,,antisoviet activities''. She was first in the Metekhi prison in Tbilisi and later in 1929 sent to Tomsk region in Russia.In 1940 she was arrested again and sent to the Akmola Camp for female prisoners. ( Elisabed spent a total of 28 years of her life in prison camps) She is the author of the many works.


Sport: Mzia (Medea) Jugheli

Mzia Jugheli was the first Georgian female olimpyc champion, eight-time Soviet champion and winner in many international artistic gymnastics tournaments. She won 13 gold, nine silver and six bronze medals in various international competitions during her career. Since 1992 Mzia has been the vice-president of the Georgian National Gymnastic Federation. Her photos were put on display at the olympic museum there.


Actress: Nato Gabunia

ď‚´ In 1879 Nato became a permanent Theatre troupe member.Her first benefit performance was staged for which Georgian poet Akaki Tsereteli specially wrote a play. For years her husband-Avksenti Tsagareli wrote and translated plays for Nato. She began touring Georgia and enjoyed great success staging plays in various towns.


Minadora Ojronikidze (Toroshelidze)

 Minadora joined Marxist circles in her youth. She was active in Geneva’s socialist circles and supported the Russian Communisty émigré newspaper - ,,Iskra’’. Dominika became an active Menshevik. In 1919 she was elected to be a member of the Georgian Democratic Republic’s founding congress under the Social Democrats’ party list. During the Russian army’s invasion in February 192,she worked in the Georgian Red Cross.She was formally rehabilitated in 1956.


Writer: Gandegili (Dominika Eristavi)  Writer Dominika Eristavi,who went by the pseudonym Gandegili, was known as ,,the Georges Sand’’. In 1984 she was named editor of Nobati magazine. Dominika was one of the founding members of the first Georgian women’s organization-the Georgian Women’s society. She wrote and translated stories, essays, miniatures, novellas and humorous pieces.


we made presentation about these women. And last what we want to say, women are so strong and without them won’t be anything. We know hero women, strong women and we can conclude, women aren’t silly or just softly creatures. women can break stereotypes that we can nothing, that’s silly absurd and nothing more. what about Georgian women? They are good like other famous world women.
