EVERY YEAR THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS POUR INTO THE CITY OF VALLABH VIDYANAGAR KNOWN AS THE EDUCATION HUB OF WEST GUJARAT TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOAL OF EDUCATION. THIS INCREASE IN NO. OF STUDENTS LEADS TO AN AMALGAMATION OF CULTURAL AND LINGUISTIC BEHAVIORS. A HOSTEL BECOMES A HOME FOR A STUDENT FOR THE YEARS THEY PURSUE HIS EDUCATION. COMPLEX AS EDUCATION CAN GET, HOME ALWAYS BRINGS BACK THE EASE TO LIFE. THE QUALITY OF A STUDENT’S ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE STARTS FROM WHERE THEY BEGIN AND END THEIR DAY.

PLANET EARTH’S 3/4TH OF COVERAGE HUNTING HAD A HUGE IMPACT ON THE ECOSYSTEM UNTIL THE HUMANS ARRIVED. PLASTIC POLLUTION IS ONLY ONE OF THE MANY PROBLEMS NOT ENTIRELY SOLVED BY HUMANKIND AND ITS EFFECTS ARE ON ONE’S NOT EVEN USING IT. BEDDING OF AN OCEAN IS NOW LITTERS OF PLASTIC, UNSEEN DEEP WITHIN. THE INABILITY TO BIODEGRADE BRINGS PLASTIC POLLUTION DOWN TO FDEMEANING AQUATIC LIFE BY BRINGING WRAPPED AROUND POLYTHENE BAGS AND FISHING NETS. THE STRUCTURE FRANSCENDS YOU FROM LAND TO UNDERWATER, TAKING A SHAPE RESAMBLING THAT OF A PLASTIC BOTTLE. IT TAKES ON AN EXPERIENCE QUALITATIVE. THE WALK BE TWEEN WATER AROUND PLASTIC INSTALLATION AND SHED TREES REFLECT THE EXCRUCIATING PHYSICALITY OF AQUATIC LIFE AROUND THE WASTE. THE PLASTIC TOMADO IMPACTS NATURE IN ALL FORMS. THE GLASS ELEMENT OF STRUCTURE INCLUDES TRANSPARENCY AND UTTER ONENESS WITH SURROUNDING SUGGESTS ISSUE PERSISTING INSIDE AND EDUCATES VISITORS OF THE PERILS. SPACE WILL BE INFLUENTIAL FOR PEOPLE, SUPPORTIVE OF THE WATER BODY, AND SURREAL EXPERIENCE OF ITS OWN.

Interpretaing Nature 4th Semester - Basic Design November 2018 - April 2019
THE EXERCISE STARTED BY SELECTING A “DRY TREE BRANCH”. THE NEXT TASK WAS TO CONNECT THE NODES, WITH OTHER NODES AND BRANCH ENDS WITH DIERENT COLOURED THREADS. IN THE NEXT STAGE, TO UNDERSTAND THE VOLUME, NEGATIVES AND POSITIVES AND SPATIAL ORGANIZATION OF BRANCH, A MODAL WAS MADE WITH JUTE SHEET, THROUGH SURFACE DEVELOPMENT, USING THE TRIANGULATION METHOD. NEXT STAGE INCLUDES REPLACEMENTS OF FEW SURFACES BY TRANSPARENT OR TRANSLUCENT MATERIALS AND REMOVAL OF ONE OF THE SURFACES, TO CREATE AN OPENING. NEXTLY HORIZONTAL PLAINS WERE ADDED AT CERTAIN PLACES TO CREATE LEVELS. HUMAN FIGURES WERE PLACED ON VARIOUS LEVELS TO UNDERSTAND TYPOLOGY OF SPACES AND VOLUMES GENERATED.
