Swami Sridharanandaji in Singapore
Srimat Swami Sridharanandaji Maharaj, President of Vedanta Society of Sydney, Australia paid a visit to Singapore from 11 to 14 January 2017. During his visit, many elderly devotees who knew him from his Lucknow days came and met him. To their delight, he accepted their invitations too. Now running 92 years, the Swami was absolutely charming in his dealings with the devotees. The Ramakrishna Mission

arranged his speech under the Saturday Special Lecture series. It was the Pongal Sankranti Day when Swami Sridharanandaji delivered an interesting Talk on “Advaita Simplified�. He explained many facets of Advaita Vedanta in simple terms which were easily understandable for the common man. The Sarada Hall had a large gathering that came to listen to him. On 15 Jan, the Swami left for Kuala Lumpur.

Swamiji Jayanti celebrated The 154th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated on 19 January 2017. The programme was scheduled in two sessions as Morning and Evening. Devotees thronged the temple at 6 15 am for Mangalarati which was followed by Vedic chantings, bhajans and meditation. Special Puja, Readings from Swamiji’s Life, homa and bhajans were parts of the morning program. Swami Nirmalatmananda, the Minister-incharge of Brazil Centre gave an interesting discourse on Swamiji’s multifaceted personality. Prasad in the form of supper was also served at the Sarada Hall.
