Gift of Groceries by SingTel Officers

On 6 October 2017, the Director and a group of staff from Singtel Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Department paid a visit to the Boys’ Home. Swami Vimokshananda received them warmly and briefed them about the parent organisation and in particular the Boys’ Home in the Library.

The group members were taken around on a guided tour of Temple and Boys Home. The WSH brought lots of grocery items for the use in the Boys’ Home. They were served with tea and snacks.

President hosts IRO Council to Brunch

This is what the President of Singapore wrote in her FaceBook Page:

Halimah Yacob at The Istana, Singapore Official Residence of the President of Singapore 28 September at 14:39 Inter-religious harmony is the bedrock of any multicultural society. One way to strengthen inter-faith ties is to facilitate greater understanding between the different communities. This is why I am very heartened by what the InterReligious Organisation (IRO) is doing. As a community-led organisation, it has a long history of promoting peace and religious harmony in Singapore.

This morning, I hosted the IRO Council to brunch. I was glad to engage the leaders of the various faiths and be inspired by their common belief in wanting to create more opportunities for dialogue between each other.

Thank you IRO, for your steadfast belief in forging inter-religious harmony.

Your effort is helping us build a more cohesive society.
