PHYSICAL MODEL
The strategy was to provide multifunctional spaces within the alotted site area so that it remains active throughout the day . The 30m Mangala Corniche divided the site into 2 parts which allowed us to segregate the recreational spaces closer to waterfront and the offices and commercial areas on the city side linked through the pedestrian bridge.

The zoning is don keeping in mind the accessibility from the roads . The mall with most public access closest to road and so on.
There are 2 kinds of views for each mass . An introverted one into the communal open spaces [ lake] and the other to the access roads .
The circulation is segregated for all different user groups such that there is a semless flow . The pedestrians are given priority .
The open spaces take up 65 % of the site area as it is a public space. Most of the open spaces are recreational and is shared between the different users.
03 . LOCII | A MIXED USE DEVOLOPMENT LOCATION : Karnataka , India AREA : 36 , 421 sqm The project was for a suburban part of the city , with major industial workforces , with a lack of housing and amenities closer to their workplace.

form devolopment .
The prison being in one of the prime locations in the city of Cochin somehow becomes a passive participant in the urban fabric , affecting the people inside as well as outside. The brute force exerted by the form is a lesson in itself to instill a sense of fear against crime . At the same time , the volume within allows one to reflect upon himself and envision a better future outside .

STREET FURNITURE DESIGN |
the box The design is a simple kiosk that can be used in Indian streets to comfortably eat street food , or can be used as a bus shelter or even just a planter box with dustbins to keep the city clean and green .
what Indian streets need
.
Streets in India has one amongst the tastiest foods in my experience . The panipuris , samosas and vada pavs are to die for. But these vendors do not have enough to space to provide comfort dining and people do prefer not to stand in the scorching sun . Kiosks that can be rented out to these vendors with seating and table tops and a roof over it can solve this issue and prove to be very helpful for the panipuri wala and streetfood lovers like me !
