THE IDEA OF THIS WALL IS BASE ON DETECTIVE BOARD. When I found out all my work have some blood and mystery elements, I decided to put all my process work during this year and use red line to connect it. Typography and design help each other and every project make me more understand what is DESIGN.

INTRODUCTION

I AM XIN SONG, who is a design major student in SVA. I love reading detective books since I was a child. I realize detective is very similar to design, begin with a lot of suspects and need find out which one is solutions. When I doing design, I always have many sketches for each step and enjoying push myself to have final result.

A SERIES OF THREE BOOK COVERS BASE ON ETHAN COEN’S SHORT STORIES. I found the relationship around these three stories is blood and my main idea is violence. The final solution combine photographic material and ripped paper to show which part that be hurt. The back of covers have some image to show which place or which way that the stories happened.

Story tries to root weird abnormalitiesin weird normalities, is a bit too preciousto come off. It's a valuable portrait of the artistas a middle-aged neophyte.
