NONSENSE MAKES SENSE
Nowsense come from the word nonsense which is repeated many times in Alice in Wonderland. In wonderland everything is nonsense, but surprisingly they still look reasonable there. So I was wondering if we truly have a rule on everything. And what seems not right maybe not wrong as well. I changed n to w to make the non to now, because I believe in this world, If something exists now, it must have something that makes sense of it.

I am Shuting Wang, the founder of Nowsense and creative director. I graduated from Central St Martins College of Art and Design with a BA(Hons) on Fashion Design after I finished my BSc degree in Software Engineering. With a quite mixed education background, I found I enjoy transforming thinking and emotions through creativity and shape them with logic. Especially I like to put the things that look exactly opposite together and make them look reasonable and beautiful. I hope people to consider the garment as a connection between their dream and reality. All my collections have their story. I am not creating their dreams, but giving them an angle to look at their life and hopefully, they can find what they were longing for in their own stories. For me, fashion is not just about garment itself, but also a lifestyle. And I always fascinated with excellent craftsmanship which is an important part of the design. We want to deliver a message that all these beautiful details take time and money, which reflect the living of the craftsman who truly devoted themselves to this industry with their irreplaceable skill. We need to respect all the detail lying in the garment to keep all these craftsmanship alive.

This is a story about beautiful craftsmanship.Tweeds itself is already an artwork with many details to enjoy. So we use some simple cutting with knitting and embroidery panels to create a chic but relaxing look.
