Developmental Delay: Not reaching developmental milestones of sitting, crawling, and walking. Not learning at an age appropriate level. Not developing age appropriate play and social skills.
Movement, Strength, & Balance Development (Gross Motor Skills): Going up and down stairs at an age appropriate time. Poor ball skills. Poor balance.
Eating & Feeding Difficulties/Oral Motor/Sensory: Child appears to be excessively picky when eating, only eating certain types or textures of food. Child excessively mouths toys or objects beyond an age-appropriate time.
Fine Motor Schools: Holding a pencil or using scissors. Using silverware or straws at an age-appropriate time. Using zippers, buttons, shoelaces. Coloring, drawing, tracing, prewriting shapes. Poor handwriting, letter/number formation.
Visual Processing: Difficulty with the spacing and sizes of letters, with copying shapes or letters, with finding objects among other objects, with copying from the board or another paper, with the concept of right and left.
Sensory Processing: Overly sensitive or heightened reactivity to sound, touch, or movement. Constantly moving, jumping, crashing, bumping. Easily distracted by visual or auditory stimuli. Difficulty coping with change. Is your child struggling in any of the areas below?

The dynamic and professional faculty at tpdc is dedicated to providing a strong technical foundation, guiding students towards self-confidence, all while promoting a love of dance. TPDC has a class for everyone. Dance classes for boys and girls ages 3-18 are offered 6 days a week in acrobatics, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, modern, musical theater and tap. Dancers between the ages of 2-3 enjoy the little movers program which introduces toddlers to the basics of ballet, tumbling & creative movement while focusing on the development of listening skills. The combination acro/ballet/tap class provides
our 3-5 year old dancers with multiple styles of dance each class.
Their competitive team attend several competitions each dance season. These students exhibit a strong work ethic, taking classes in a variety of disciplines with the goal of being the best dancers they can be. Participation in these events builds self confidence, team spirit and friendships that last a lifetime.

Take your family to the waterpark. There’s 3 in the issue; the new Island Aqua Park down the shore, or Mountain Creek Waterpark up North, or Big Kahuna’s in West Berlin, NJ. If you need to cool down, go skiing at Big Snow, open all summer!
If you haven’t selected a camp or two for your child, weekly camps are still registering. Consider a STEM or robotics camp, perforrming arts or language camp or perhaps a ping pong camp...so many exciting ways to learn new or improve existing skills.

Get ready for free fun movies on the beach or in the park throughout NJ communities and jersey shore towns. It’s a great outdoors experience for children of all ages and most movies are rated g, pg, or pg-13. Unless otherwise specified, movies begin at dusk.
