A
WORD FROM LCPE Dear all, Leadership is as much a purpose as it is a calling. It is service to others.
I applaud you for taking this step to be part of the team that will lead the most impactful LC in Africa, in the year 2017. Your desire to lead is not haphazard, neither is it arbitrary. You may be afraid; you may be terrified; you may even doubt your very ability to lead and inspire others. But rather than dwell on the worst that could happen, ask yourself, “What is the best that could happen?” This journey will undoubtedly break you and push you to your greatest limits yet. But within the same process, it will grow you, mold you and present a better version of yourself to the rest of the world. I wish you all of God’s blessings as you embark on a path that will probably be your best decision yet. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is, however, acknowledging your fear, looking it right in the eye and walking past it towards your dreams. I urge you to keep going past your fear and remember to be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire. Yours in Leadership, Jemimah Mutisya, Local Chapter President – Elect, AIESEC in University of Nairobi.
