ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS This booklet of ten paintings were done from 2017 to 2019 and individual paintings had been posted on Instagram as and when I made them. I am indebted my parents, my well-wishers and family, who have believed in my creativity and in my creative instincts. Medha and Jayashree always stood by me. Narayanan Krishnaswamy

PREFACE I used to send custom designed screen-printed new year greeting cards before so many years. These cards were printed on ivory board. I had preserved some left-over greetings without disposing them for all these years. These ten paintings are made with markers, sketch pens and drawing pens. This is the result of long cherished desire to do some good quality artwork using the sketch pens. This was further facilitated by the availability of interesting varieties of pens available in the market. It all started with the sketch pens my daughter discarded after she has grown up. I kept it and used them before they dried off. Though time, mood and opportunity were the consideration and constraint, each piece took about six hours to finish. The theme chosen for theses series is fantasy and I never shied away from letting the imagination fly high and indeed let it loose. It was disciplined just by the workmanship and colours in which, the pens were available at that particular point of time. Narayanan Krishnaswamy
