Located within the High Plains Environmental Center (HPEC), the Park includes a

group picnic facility, trails, observation deck, restored native landscape and an interpretive sign program. The Park balances recreational and educational uses within a peninsula on one of the site’s lakes. Design elements complement the natural setting, enhance views and make reference to the site’s wildlife. Sustainable design and construction techniques were used and help reinforce the HPEC mission.

Huron Reservoir Park is a 13-acre park located in North Suburban Denver. Recognizing its function as a drainage area, Mark Kopatz developed a design concept that reflected the site’s riparian character. The major features of the park include a pond, wetlands, a boardwalk, play areas, and open space. The facility demonstrates how to blend
features with functional play activities.

The Park at Southshore is nestled next to the Senac Creek open space spine, with the Creek bookending the park in a series of drops and waterfalls, providing the community with a stunning
focal point. The park itself holds two separate age-oriented play pieces separated by a terrace down the slope to work with the grade, a shelter, picnic tables, and plenty of turf for open play. Adding to the park’s connectivity is the intersection of Southshore regional trails system that leads to the Aurora Reservoir and beyond. The park features viewing platform drops that open up to the community at large.
TALLMAN MEADOW PARK parker, colorado

A 35,000 square-foot lighted skate plaza will be the central feature at this 8.5 acre park adjacent to Cherry Creek. A bouldering area, natural-themed playground and artful
wall elements reflective of the skate theme create signature elements for the park. The central lawn will host outdoor events and festivals. A public art display at the center of the skate park provides a visual focal point from Twenty Mile Road.
Whisper Valley Signature Park travis county, texas

for much of the surrounding community, creating opportunites for wildlife habitat on the park’s southern edge. Existing mature Oaks and bottom-lands
are preseved and integrated into the
design. The “valley walk” is a linear pedestrian running the length of the park. Amenities include multi-use fields, community lawn and performance area, dog park, picnic area, playground and trails.
