Philanthropy is an essential part of shaping our world and inspiring positive change. It can also be a powerful way for women to take on leadership roles and build community connections. In our generous region, there is almost an expectation that corporate leaders also be good civic leaders and give back to the community.
This series will dive into what is philanthropy, how can it be used to address meaningful issues, how can it help to forge meaningful new connections and networks, and how can it help others create a better future for all.
Moderator Shelly Deavy, Assistant Vice President of Development for Northern Kentucky University, will lead Angel Beets, Clare Blankemeyer, Laura Menge, and Tiarra Owens in a panel discussion about their journeys in philanthropy and how giving back has made a difference in their lives, both personally and professionally. All women are members of Impact 100, a women’s collective giving circle that looks to improve lives in the community by collectively funding transformative grants that make a lasting impact.
Our Planning Committee has meticulously curated an impressive roster of exceptional presenters, and we are thrilled to share this exciting day with all of you. Under this year’s captivating theme, “Growing by Giving Back: The IMPACT of Philanthropy,” we aim to see more women on nonprofit boards/committees and in more leadership roles to feel their purpose and use their voices to better the space around us.
We can’t thank our sponsors enough for their generosity. Please thank them as you see them today and over the coming weeks at other NKY Chamber events.
Finally, we encourage you to learn more about the Women’s Initiative. We are always looking for volunteers, and now is your chance to become more involved in creating programs that will enrich your professional life and the lives of those around you. Please take a moment to reach out to learn how you can be a part of the WI team today. Julie Leppo, Vice President,
