MRE Meals For Camping IIf you're a fan of camping, then you know how stressful it can be to take pots, pans, dishes, a stove, etc. in order to cook meals. All of these items can add many pounds of unnecessary weight and will significantly slow you and your entire party down. you can make for a couple of days so you can focus completely on enjoying the outdoors.
We will start with breakfast which is the most important meal of the day. This meal will give you all the energy you need to get a start on hiking or whatever activity you have planned. One of the best meals to have is oatmeal along with some dried fruit or nuts. NL4S offers a variety of instant cream flavors, or you can opt for the organic packets which come in maple, brown sugar and original. All you need to do is add some water, fruits, and mix. An alternative to oatmeal is a bagel with peanut butter,

but you should forget the jam, so you don't attract any critters if it spills or the package bursts.
Next, we will look at a couple of lunch options. One meal idea is hummus with pita bread and some fresh vegetables. Pita bread is a very durable bread which means it can handle the rigors of living in your backpack. The hummus will provide the protein you need, and the vegetables will provide fiber, carbs, and micro-nutrients. If you're not a fan of hummus, then another option is beef jerky and trail mix. Beef jerky has always been a favorite camping food, and it will definitely make a great snack or lunch.

The sweet and savory combo is sure to be a hit.
Lastly, we will look at dinner options. This is the final meal of the day and it's the meal that is most difficult to have without heat. One sumptuous option is a pizza wrap because as we all know, pizza is great whether it's cold or hot. In order to make this wrap, you will need some tomato powder mixed with water, dried herbs, salt, and pepper to form the base. Then, you spread this paste onto your wrap and sprinkle cheese and add whatever cured meats you have available. Some of the best meats to pack include salami, chorizo,

and pepperoni since they can stay long without going bad. It is best to pack firm cheese such as Cheddar, Gouda or Parmesan for the same reasons.
