LOCATION
North London Collegiate School is located in NorthWest London The site is in Edgware, in the London Borough of Harrow and is a short 10min walk from Stanmore tube station. We are within 20 minutes by car from the M25, M40, A40, A41 and A1, and 30 minutes from London Heathrow.

PARKING
There is no parking available on site due to the event taking place during a working school day. Public transport is strongly advised. Parking can be found on neighbouring roads but please note these have restricted parking hours
Controlled parking zones apply for permit holders only in the following areas:
*between the hours of 14:00pm – 15:00pm (Monday – Friday) on Dalkeith Grove
*between the hours of 15:00pm – 16:00pm (Monday – Friday) on Du Cros Drive and neighbouring roads
*between the hours of 11:00am – 12:00pm (Monday – Friday) on Canons Drive
Local roads routinely get extremely congested early mornings for drop off and afternoons during pick up
In addition, we also restrict access to the Loop Road (accessible from Dalkeith Grove) between 15.45pm –16.20pm when the priority is to enable the coaches to line up and for pupils to board safely

There will be signage along the routes taken by all visitors upon arrival from Dalkeith Grove, but you will be making your way to the Performance Arts Centre (PAC) via the Athenian Café for registration and refreshments:

Where do events take place?
Please refer to the individual event web-listing for the exact location of the event.
The main keynote speakers and introductions to the conference will be taking place in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) with breakout sessions in both the Buss and Drummond Rooms located in the Old House
We hold events across several internal spaces, so it is important that you check the individual ACEN event webpage for the correct details.

What time should I arrive?
Doors open approximately 30 minutes before the advertised start time. We ask you to bear this in mind when planning your arrival and allowing enough time for the pre-event and registration process being held in the Athenian Café.
Event/ Session Timings
All event timings/ daily schedule will be distributed by the event organiser prior to the commencement of the event. These will also be available and visible on the event day.
Efforts will be made to ensure adequate breaks are built into any event schedule and time given for any movement around site.
Tickets
ACEN will oversee bookings and the distribution of all event ticketing.
Please check your tickets to make sure that they are for the correct date and time, and that you have the correct number of tickets. If you must download your tickets to show upon arrival, we advise you do this before attending site and saving to your phone wallet or notes app, should there be any problems with accessing remote Wi-Fi on site.
If the date, time or quantity are not what you were expecting, please contact the event organiser as soon as possible, quoting your reference number
Safeguarding
It is up to NLCS to set processes for identifying and supervising visitors to make sure appropriate safeguarding measures are in place at any event

Any visitor must remain with a member of NLCS staff at all times and is not allowed to be left without supervision.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the whole school is Mrs Nicola Dawson, Deputy Head (Pastoral)

NLCS has Wi-Fi available for all guests and visitors.

Following these steps should successfully get you connected to the Wi-Fi and Internet.
Will there be filming and photography at your events?
Filming and/or photography will take place at the ACEN Anti-Racism Conference. Footage and images are used to promote the work of the organisation and to further the reach of NLCS events.
Where filming and/or photography will be taking place, clear signage will be displayed at the event. Please notify staff on arrival if you do not wish to be included in any footage or photography.
What toilet facilities are available at the venue?
There are a range of toilet facilities at NLCS, and these will be highlighted in housekeeping slides at the start of any event or at the start of any breakout room sessions.
All visitors are to be accompanied at all times by a member of NLCS staff.
Please ask any member of NLCS staff assigned to the event for directions to the nearest restrooms, where you will be escorted.
Are latecomers admitted to in-person events?
Yes, if disruption is kept to a minimum for those in attendance. Please note, admittance to any NLCS event is always at the discretion of the event organiser.

NLCS is an old building that has been added to over the years with accessible routes in different areas.
If you have any access requirements, please contact the event organiser as far as possible in advance of the event you are planning to attend so that arrangements, where possible, can be made.
Security
Marshalls are stationed at both entrances to the school, monitoring and controlling traffic and the entry and exists of all visitors, vehicles and deliveries. This role is vital in preventing unauthorised access and maintaining a secure environment
Unless otherwise stated, audience members are allowed to bring bags into NLCS events, but NLCS reserves the right to make a search of bags a condition of entry to its venues.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to and/or ask people to leave the event in reasonable circumstances including without limitation for health and safety or licensing reasons; if you behave in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the event; if you use threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms; if, in our reasonable opinion, you are acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; if you are unable, when required, to produce proof of identity or age; if you don’t listen to our staff; if you breach these terms; or if your ticket is void

First Aid
NLCS have a medical centre on site with a team working within the core hours of 08:30am – 4:15pm, during term time only.
We have a number of designated first-aiders but request any visiting organisation have an assigned First Aider present at any event First-aiders must hold a valid certificate of competence.
First Aid kits can be found in several locations around the school, with the addition of 9 defibrillator devices located around the site.
Any incidences, including near misses must be reported to an NLCS member of staff so an incident report can be made on the EVOLVE platform.
Fire Evacuation Procedures
NLCS has a fire and emergency evacuation policy.
All visitors should ensure that they are familiar with these procedures and act upon the requirements.
When the fire alarm sounds, please evacuate the building immediately via the nearest fire exit and move to h designated assembly/muster point (of the all-wea pitch) as directed by a member of the NLCS staff.

Cloakroom
Please note there is no dedicated cloakroom area
Visitors are encouraged to always keep their bags jackets and belongings with them at all times
Time Restrictions
As NLCS is located within a residential area, our P Licence indicates any event activity takes place b the hours of 8:00am and 23:00pm.
We must be respectful of noise sensitive properti the locality and the impact the nature and duratio the event may have on our neighbours who live cl the vicinity of the school

Can I bring Food & Drink with me to the event?
No food or drinks are allowed into the event spaces, with the exception of water.
Glass is not permitted in the PAC.
Catering will be provided during the day within designated areas and lunch provided for the conference in the Athenian Café
Please note we at NLCS, are a nut free school.
If you suffer with any allergens, food intolerances or have specific dietary requirements, please contact the event organiser as far as possible in advance of the event you are planning to attend so that arrangements, where possible, can be made.
Do you have water stations at the venue?
Yes. Hydration stations will be all around the site so you can refill your water bottles anytime you need
Are Coaches & Buses permitted on site?
Yes, NLCS has 7 coach bays available, along the west side of the Loop Road which can be used outside of school hours and during half terms Please speak to your event manager to confirm availability.
Please note NLCS have Canons Sports Centre on site with members having access to the sporting facility across all evenings, weekends and holidays, some use the coach bays as parking spaces.
Are Parking facilities available on site?
Yes, NLCS has capacity for approx. 150 spaces, which can be used outside of school hours and during half-terms Please speak to your event manager to confirm availability.
