Year 13 Study Smarter, Not Harder: 18th November This session involved covering some of the basics for effective, efficient study. Top tips, like Pomodoro technique, together with good habits from successful people. Hopefully, just reinforcing what they have already been taught in good time for it to be of use before the mocks. The most interesting part of the evening for the students was the group work discussions where they needed to offer solutions for a particular scenarios. They learnt from each other in this process. This communicating, sharing of ideas, and presenting them is a skill they will need to develop further for university.

Outduction workshops Year 12 Ready, Steady, Cook: Based on a reality TV show this challenges contestants to be creative and produce a nutritious meal based on given ingredients under timed conditions. The idea was to teach students to plan, collaborate, and cook a meal based on what they might have in the fridge or find in a Western supermarket. Despite a chaotic start, every group managed to cook not only an edible meal, but tasty one too, making it hard for the judges to pick a winner! There were chicken fajitas, pasta bakes, mixed fried rice, and the winning group got the prize of a chicken dinner take-out.

KISAC VOLLEYBALL The school’s HS volleyball team took second place in the 2023 KISAC. Victoria, Emily Kim, Wendy, and Tahee, our year 13s, have contributed a lot to school VB and this competition. Adding even more significance it served as their very final NLCS match. It is important to highlight the collaborative nature of the team, with Year 12 students like Hanju and others playing integral roles alongside their older and younger peers. This unique blend of talents from different age groups fostered a sense of unity among the players. The dedication and skill they brought to the competition showcased not only their athletic prowess but also their commitment to the team and the spirit of the game.
