The hustle and bustle of the Sixth Form is exemplified by the Prefect Programme that is why we have focused on highlighting the wonderful work that have been taking place in the Project areas. We are so proud to have six brilliantY13 Lead Prefects who have been working closely with their Project Mentors to promote the values of the Sixth Form: Contribute, Collaborate and Celebrate.

The Junior School Prefects are participating in their weekly duties everyday where they share their various experiences, hobbies, and interests with the Junior School students. Playing basketball, tag, and even hanging out, having small talks with the younger students, we are working towards building a stronger bond between the two schools of NLCS Jeju!
Recently, we have organized a small Halloween event for the Junior students where we decorated halloween-themed cookies, specially handmade by our wonderful Prefects! Building on this success, we are planning more holiday-themed celebrations throughout the year. Christmas preparations are already underway, and we’re excited to bring even more joy and creativity to the students as we continue to strengthen the connection between our schools through meaningful interactions and festive fun!
The Beyond the Curriculum team is made up of students with diverse talents and values, all working together to create a positive and enjoyable extracurricular environment in our school. This academic year, the team has focused on build a vibrant atmosphere by promoting participation in extracurricular activities, including both CCAs and Bryants.
The prefects have played a crucial role in extracurricular arrangements.Additionally, the team has begun preparing information slides for new students and staff, providing details about the extracurriculars to support their transition. OUr prefects also represent each 5 houses and the sixth form, ensuring effective communication by addressing queries and feedback through the Student Voice.To enhance engagement, the team has introduced updates on extracurricular changes during assemblies, keeping everyone informed and involved.
The Arts Prefects team is composed of students deeply passionate about a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, music, and dance. Our mission is to foster a vibrant artistic community within the school by organizing and supporting various art-related events throughout the year, currently supporting the Addams
Family Musical and the Junior School Christmas performance. The prefects actively carry out weekly duties in the Arts department, maintaining close engagement with staff and staying informed about ongoing projects and developments. Currently, we are collaborating with the NLCS sister schools on the interdisciplinary magazine The Archipelago, showcasing the creativity and shared artistic spirit across our network.
The prefects are also eager to take the lead on their own projects, bringing unique talents and energy to the table. Just look at Hannah rocking the drums in her latest performance!
TheAcademic English Prefect focuses on constructing inclusive school community of English-using.The project group contribute establishing language policies in school, and prefects are largely involved in language activities and workshops. Some other works we do include leading language activities in boarding homes and translation task for school info sessions or guest lectures and deliver assemblies. Activities our perfect also enjoys doing includes English literature workshops, arranging library debates, lead library reading sessions and mentoring Junior school book club! We aim to make a difference in school community to nurture students as an internationally-minded people! :D
The Events Department is responsible for organising major and minor events around the school such as bazaars, tours and parent information sessions. Working with supporting staff and outside vendors as well as students, this prefect area requires a multitude of skills. With Christmas season coming, the events prefects are busy at work in preparation for arguably the most important event of the year: the Christmas bazaar. Prefects have a range of jobs, from putting up Christmas trees to coordinating the many student-led stalls. Each stall, spreadsheet, and decoration of the bazaar is being carefully planned to create a joyful and memorable holiday experience for the entire school community.
We are a brand-new prefect project area! Wellbeing prefects span across positions inYear 12 and 13, focusing specifically on the wellbeing of Sixth Form students. Currently, we are working on activities for wellbeing Friday (during tutor time), offering Sixth Form students an opportunity to relax and have an enjoyable time. We aim to tailor these activities to the students!After a long week, we plan activities such as meditation and colouring to help everyone unwind.The prefects are composed of caring people with a great smile! :) Wellbeing is THE most important in life—whether academically, socially, or physically. In light of this, we will work harder to spread positivity, both in and out of classrooms!
Looking ahead, we aim to introduce even more diverse activities. We hope to see your active participation!
On Wellbeing Fridays, the Wellbeing Prefects come up with mindful activities to make sure that the Sixth Formers get a balanced start to the last day of the week! Here is a list of some of the activities fromTerm 1: Paper Aeroplane Competition, Push up Challenge, Mafia Game, Cinema, Hot Chocolate for Everyone, Halloween Party,Art Design, Make-a-Playlist, and Jenga!
