Did You Know‌ Lavender’s aromatic scent has the ability to soothe pain? Special chemicals work with the limbic system, the emotional control center of the brain, to induce relaxation and decrease anxiety as well as deadening pain receptors. This is why lavender can be used to relieve postoperative pain, migraines, and reduce the inflammatory ache of osteoarthritis. Try it! Simply inhale the scent of lavender, either fresh lavender or lavender essential oil, and watch as its calming powers take effect.
