Cycling Safety: Our focus is to provide a high quality, safe, and fun bicycling experience. While we do an enormous amount of planning to provide for your safety, we ask that you do your part prior to the ride by visiting our bicycle safety page at bikeMScolorado.org where you will find cycling manuals, safety videos, safe cycling tips and links to more information through Bicycle Colorado and the League of American Bicyclists. Route maps will be provided at packet pick-up which include the rules of the road. Please study this map closely and make sure you bring it to the ride. RIDE SAFE. RIDE SMART. Please be aware of and prepared for railroad crossings on both days of the ride.
Bike MS Safety Policy: Should a cyclist choose to behave, act, or ride in a manner that is endangering themselves or others, Ride Officials and Colorado State Patrol officers have been instructed to remove their bib and wristband and prohibit them from continuing on the Ride. Please remember, this is a ride, not a race.
Rider Identification: Rider wristbands are your ticket to all services and meals at the event and our source to identify you in case of an emergency. Use your wristband number when turning in funds offline and for general communication with the Chapter. Wristbands must be worn at all times over the event weekend to receive access to event amenities. Thank you for helping us keep this event fun and fulfilling for all registered participants. Rider bib numbers change year to year and are used for identification of your bicycle and luggage at the Ride. The lowest bib numbers are in yellow and are reserved for participants at the High Roller level and above. Please show your appreciation for this amazing group of top fundraisers.
We offer great fundraising prizes and clubs with amazing benefits! Visit your Participant Center at bikeMScolorado.org to access our Fundraising Toolkit, ideas, available prizes and information on our elite High Roller and Top 100 Clubs.
Prizes and Incentives: Top fundraisers are rewarded with special club affiliations and incentives. I was diagnosed in 2001. A good friend of mine mentioned this bike ride for multiple sclerosis and that we should do it. I borrowed a bike and rode my first MS 150, to Estes Park and back. I was hooked. There is nothing like crossing a Bike MS finish line. Blood, sweat and tears! For my kids Jake and Zach, I will continue to ride year after year so they won’t have to worry about MS. I have MS, but MS does not have me!
