Join us for the annual America’s Shipyard celebration Thurs., June 29! This year, NNSY is hosting two events honoring the diverse group of people who contribute to the shipyard’s mission year round. A Shipyard Celebration featuring booths from various shops, codes and organizations will be held next to the Rusty Anchor (Bldg. 1526) at Wet Slip 2 on Brown Ave. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a live band, a dunk tank, a fun photo station, games, refreshments, and a special meal deal offered by C-MWR. There will also be a Shipyard Informational Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside Bldg. 1575 on the second floor. If you’ve ever been curious to know what goes on in a different shop or code, this is an excellent opportunity to learn all about the unique skill sets of the shipyard’s maintenance and modernization professionals and everyone who supports them.
