Davis is the former COO and director of international trade at the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Prior to that, she was a partner at Empire Properties in Raleigh and co-founded Serentec Inc., a company that provided pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and healthcare companies around the world with regulatory compliance and validation services. She also spent eight years in Europe, holding positions at IBM, Computer Digest Magazine and McGraw Hill.
