Places to Visit BALBOA PARK

Balboa Park is a 1,200-acre must-see urban cultural park! The park is home to 15 fabulous museums, botanical gardens, performing arts venues, play areas for children, walking trails through remote areas, and so much more! CORONADO

Mission Beach is the closest beach to our resort and home to Belmont Park, California’s only ocean-front amusement park! A 3-mile boardwalk along the sand can take you from Mission Beach to Pacific Beach where you will find beach bars, restaurants, casual night clubs, and surf shops. OLD TOWN

Just 5 minutes from our resort and known as the birthplace of California, Old Town features a lively authentic atmosphere, with 17 museums and historic sites, quaint boutiques, art galleries, festive theatres, and best of all, some of the greatest Mexican dining here in San Diego! SAN DIEGO HARBOR

Here you will find The Broadway Pier which was originally constructed in 1913. It is also home to the ferry to Coronado, Hornblower Cruises, the Cruise Ship Terminal, San Diego Maritime Museum with the Star of India. Featured Attractions BIRCH AQUARIUM

This renowned aquarium showcases exploratory and learning classes for kids. The A, B, Sea Club teaches kids up to age 4 about the ocean world. Each class has live animal encounters and exhibits. Pre-registration required. Adventures for the whole family include grunion watching, tide-pooling, snorkeling, whale watching and pier walks. $12 adults; $8.50 children. LEGOL AND

Imagine a whole park constructed out of Legos and decked out in its primary colors. Everything is kid-sized and Legoland accommodates even the youngest children. Most of the attractions are hands-on and “kid-powered.” Most also allow kids as young as three to ride solo, while some allow parents to take infants aboard. Legoland is a great place to take your kids for a day they will always remember. Be sure to visit Legoland’s brand new water park and SeaLife Aquarium! SAN DIEGO SAFARI PARK

This is a hop-on/hop-off tour that will take you on a 25-mile loop, stopping at 11 of the most popular tourist destinations here in San Diego! AUDIO VISUAL

Arrangements for audio visual can be made directly through our in-house preferred vendor PSAV by calling 619-275-7971. PSAV provides a range of audio-visual services as well as lighting packages, internet services and additional electrical power drops. PSAV assists with individual exhibitor needs in these areas as well. Outside audio visual companies may be used with applicable liaison fee. BOX SHIPMENTS/INBOUND

We have a limited supply of Fed Ex & UPS boxes and labels in stock. Your shipping department should provide you with preprinted labels for return shipments. We are unable to post shipping charges to the master account or individual guest room accounts. You are responsible for recording the tracking information for outbound shipments. The hotel will not assume responsibility for any unattended or unsealed and unaddressed boxes left on property in function space. If your items require special handling, our local UPS store can assist with your shipping needs. They require a credit card; your company’s account number or pre-printed labels can NOT be utilized. RECEIVING/LOADING ARE A

At appropriate times with advance notice, you may load and unload at our loading area. We cannot guarantee availability of secure parking for large vehicles of any kind. BUSINE SS CENTER

The Business Center is located in the Conference Center and is available twentyfour hours. Groups requiring extensive printing/copying should consider renting a dedicated printer/copier through PSAV. INTERNET ACCE SS

Wireless internet access is provided in public areas of the resort. Launch your web browser and accept the terms and conditions. A pass code is provided in your guest room key packet information. Food and beverage prices may fluctuate in accordance with market conditions. Menu prices for planned food and beverage functions will be established no earlier than six (6) months prior to your convention/meeting. Menu selections are due to the Conference Services Manager (30) days prior to your arrival. Guaranteed number of guests attending each event are due (72) business hours prior to the event. This count will be the number of guests charged even if the actual count falls short of the guaranteed number. In the event the actual guest attendance is greater than the guaranteed attendance number, the actual number of guests in attendance will be charged. CHILDREN’S PRICING

Children (3) and under will be served on a complimentary basis. Children (4-12) will be charged at 50% of the menu price. Children over (12) will be charged full price. Special children’s meals are available. BRE AK & ME AL PERIODS

All reception action stations are served for (120) minutes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are served for (120) minutes. Break packages are served for (30) minutes. Please provide ample notice for any adjustments to meal period service times. BOXED LUNCHE S

In the event that more than two 20-amp outlets are needed, a formal request for additional outlets must be submitted in writing a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. Electrical charges would be applicable and will be included in your outlined requested services through PSAV. Ambiant lighting is suggested for evening events occurring outdoors. PSAV can assist in this area for your overall event as well. FOOD & BE VER AGE

The Resort is licensed to serve all food & beverage. To ensure the safety of our guests and comply with local health regulations, neither patrons nor their guests shall be allowed to bring food or beverage into the Resort. Due to local health ordinances, we are unable to pack any remaining food items to go. FOOD & BE VER AGE MINIMUMS

Contracted food & beverage minimums are exclusive of service charge, tax, labor and room rental. In an effort to provide four diamond service to all of our events large and small, the hotel must meet appropriate staffing guidelines and schedule service staff, banquet captains, and banquet managers to attend to your hot service breakfast, luncheon, and dinner events. For this reason, a $100 labor fee is applicable for all group meal functions with 60 guests or less in attendance.

Tray Passing Service - $50.00 per server for a two-hour period Bartender Fee - $175 per bartender for a three-hour period. Additional hours are $50 per bartender per hour Chef Attendant - $175 per chef attendant for a three-hour period Coat Check Attendant - $200 per function per attendant On–Site Meeting Room Set Change - $500 Security - $45 per attendant per hour Hotel security is required on school events and events serving alcohol when minors are in attendance of the event. OVERTIME

Our service staff is scheduled for an eight-hour period for breakfast, lunch, reception and dinner including set up which require two hours before doors open and fortyfive minutes for breakdown. Should your event extend beyond this window and into additional hours, an overtime rate would be applicable to the master account of $35 per staff member per hour or increments thereof. PRE- CONVENTION MEETING

We encourage you to schedule a formal or informal pre-convention meeting your Conference Services Manager. This provides a great opportunity to meet our Resort Team in preparation of your program commencement. Please arrange (30) days prior to your arrival. OUTSIDE VENDORS

All outside vendors, musicians & service providers are required to read and sign our Code of Conduct Agreement and provide us with a certificate of liability. Your Conference Services Manager can provide a copy for your review.

The prevailing service charge will be added to all catered food and beverage functions. Service charges are taxed at the prevailing California State sales tax. Please refer to your contract for the prevailing service charge percentage. SPACE AGENDA /ROOM SETS

Please review your contracted space agenda; space is being reserved accordingly. Changes will be made on an available basis; additional space cannot be guaranteed. We require advance written notice if additional space is needed and confirmation must be in writing from your Conference Service Manager. Additional room rental may be assessed. SPECIAL DIETS

Please communicate any special dietary restrictions/requests a minimum of (72) hours in advance of your group’s arrival. TE AM BUILDING

If the National Weather Service forecasts a chance of rain 30% and above, the Resort suggests that the scheduled function take place in the designated indoor backup room. If the Patron is not at the Resort, it is the responsibility of the Patron to contact the Banquet Manager no less than (4) hours prior to the scheduled event, or the Resort will make the judgment.

Beach & Pool Services BONFIRE S ON THE BE ACH

Available from sunset to 10pm, you may enjoy your own bonfire under the stars. The hotel will supply up to 10 white folding chairs, wood, flame, sand and the calm of the bay. This package for a 2-hour period is $250 per 2hrs. Bonfires on the beach must end at 10pm. Does not include beach permit required for groups with more than 50. CABANAS

Private poolside cabanas are available for rental. They feature two reclining chairs, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, phone charger, a pitcher of lemonade or iced tea and bottled waters as well as VIP food and beverage service. Prices will vary. Reservations are recommended and additional packages are available; please speak with the Concierge for details. COOLERS/OUTSIDE FOOD & BE VER AGE

Coolers and outside food & beverage are not allowed at the pool. Any food & beverage arrangements can be made with your Conference Service Manager. HOURS OF OPER ATION

The resort is surrounded by Mission Bay Park which is a public beach. San Diego City Council formalized a restriction on all alcohol on San Diego’s beaches and in coastal parks. In accordance with this law, no alcoholic beverages may be sold or consumed on any public beach or coastal park in San Diego. VOLLE YBALL

Volleyball setup is available on the beach for your group’s exclusive use. The charge is $150.00 plus gratuity and tax. Subject to availability/advance notice required. WATER SPORTS

Beachside water sport activities and rentals can be arranged with Action Sports Rentals. Venture out on beautiful Mission Bay for a leisurely ride or a fast and thrilling water experience. A selection of wave runners, powerboats, wakeboards, pontoon boats, sailboats, catamarans, stand up paddle boards and kayaks are available for rental. Bellman Services Our bell staff is readily available to assist you and your guests throughout your stay. Any arrival and departure information you can provide is helpful in providing the maximum level of service. In addition, they can assist you with group bag pulls, luggage and golf club storage, amenity and special deliveries to individual guest rooms and moving your boxes to the appropriate meeting locations. Service charges/ gratuities will be applied to the master account per contract. GUE STROOM AMENIT Y DELIVERY

We suggest that all deliveries be scheduled while the group is at your reception or dinner. Items to be delivered “on arrival” will be delivered within 1 ½ hours of the guest’s check in. The guest room amenity delivery fee is $5 per room.

Banquet checks will be presented daily from the previous day’s events for the designated group contact/meeting planner to review and sign. CASH ADVANCE

If you require a cash advance on your master account, requested must be received two weeks in advance of the group’s arrival. An ATM is located in the lobby of the hotel. CREDIT CARDS

The card holder’s name and signature must be on the credit card, personal or corporate. If the card is not in the name of the guest, a credit card authorization is required with a copy of the credit card front and back. Ghost credit cards (without an individual’s name) are not accepted. All reservations require a credit or debit card on arrival. CREDIT CARD HOLDS/INCIDENTAL DEPOSITS

The Resort requires a $100 per day deposit for incidentals at check in if incidentals are not covered by the master account. The deposit can be provided as follows: CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD:

A hold is placed against the card’s credit limit. The hold is released at check out. Please check with your financial institution in advance, the resort has no control on when your bank releases the hold. The resort will waive the individual incidental credit hold if the group guarantees payment to the master account. This only applies to groups approved for direct billing. The Resort requires signed authorization from the authorized signer/meeting planner. TA X E XEMPT

A copy of your valid California State Tax Exempt form must be received in advance for review. Out-of-state exemptions cannot be accepted. Payment must be made by a company credit card or check with the same entity noted on the tax exempt form.

DIRECT BILLING/MASTER ACCOUNT

Direct billing must be established in advance, a completed credit application must be received forty-five days prior to the group’s arrival. In the event direct billing is not requested or approved, total pre-payment will be required seven days prior to the group’s arrival. Payment can be made by credit card or wire transfer. Only charges incurred at the resort can be applied to the master account. Any charges from outside vendors must be handled directly with the vendor. INVOICE S

Your final invoice will be emailed within three business days of your last guest departure. PAYMENTS

All direct billing accounts are due and payable based on the terms of your contract. All past due accounts are subject to the maximum allowable charges and liquidation damages by law on the unpaid balance. All reasonable legal fees necessary in collection of debts will be added to our charges. The Resort reserves the right to cancel extensions of credit, and to release itself from holding reservations or space within normal and reasonable business operating limits. Check-in time is 4:00pm. Guests are required to establish credit with the resort upon arrival unless their charges are direct billed. Please refer to the accounting section for more detailed information. The registering guest must be at least 18 years old. We cannot guarantee room availability until 4:00pm. If you require early check-in, please book the room for the previous evening. In the event early check-in can be accommodated, a $25.00 early arrival fee is applicable. CHECK- OUT INFORMATION

Check-out time is 11:00am. Due to our normally year around high occupancy, we are unable to guarantee late check-out in advance. Availability is limited and confirmed on departure date by the front desk manager. If you require a guaranteed late checkout, please book the room for an additional night. Luggage storage is available, and guests are welcome to stay on property and enjoy the amenities of the resort. CONCIERGE

Pack ‘n play & roll away beds are available at a fee and based on availability. Roll away beds can only be placed in rooms with king size beds. Rollaway beds are $25.00 per night. Fitness in general includes four major components: muscular strength; muscular endurance; cardiovascular; and flexibility training. All four methods of training are equally important for your overall health and well-being. Please enjoy the variety of group exercise classes that we provide to you to stay healthy. To ensure your desired time, make your reservation early. All services can be billed to your room or paid for with a major credit card. We regret we cannot accept cash, however charges billed to your room may be settled with cash at the Resort’s front desk. If you would like to request a particular therapist, or gender of therapist, please let us know when you book your appointment. CANCELL ATION POLICY

We require a (24) twenty-four notice to cancel without charge. You will be charged the fifty percent of the full price of your service if you cancel within (4) four hours of your scheduled time. Should you fail to arrive for your scheduled treatment, the full amount of the service would be charged.
