WELCOME Hotel Viking, located at the top of Newport’s Historic Hill and a member of Historic Hotels of America, is convenient to Newport’s many attractions, including Newport Harbor and the famous waterfront. With the character and service of a small boutique hotel, it showcases 209 luxuriously well-appointed rooms and suites resonating Old World charm, yet updated with the most modern amenities. Guests that have come to love the Hotel Viking will notice all new upgraded luxury suites, including rooms located in the Newport wing.



Viking Guestrooms Romantic and luxurious, these rooms feature beautiful period inspired furniture and the décor of Newport’s Gilded Age. Pillow top mattresses are draped with Egyptian cotton bed linens and a rich satin duvet. Rooms feature built in cherry wardrobes, reminiscent of those found in elegant manor houses. In addition, LCD televisions are in every room. Beveled glass doors lead into the bathrooms which feature large showers wrapped in ‘pillow’ carved marble along with rain head showers.

Newport Guestrooms Featuring a progressive design which complements the Gilded Age look of the Hotel Viking. Rich textures and a subtle color palate create a stylish, comfortable and functional space. There is also the all-important nod to contemporary amenities – rooms have LCD televisions, complimentary wireless internet, in room safety deposit boxes and other important amenities that will help make each stay a memorable experience.


Dining One Bellevue Flavor and freshness define One Bellevue, with its culinary seafood classics from the bounty of New England and beyond. Dinner is graciously served by attentive professionals and the popular menus showcase fresh ingredients from the land and sea that are sustainable and locally-sourced whenever possible. International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum The International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum, housed in the historic Newport Casino, is an uncommon example of sporting excellence. Newport Historic District The Newport Historic District covers 250 acres in the center of Newport, and was designated a National Historic Landmark (NHL) in 1968 due to its extensive and well-preserved assortment of intact colonial buildings dating from the early and mid-18th century. Six of those buildings are themselves NHLs in their own right, including the city’s oldest house and the former meeting place of the colonial and state legislatures. Newer and modern buildings coexist with the historic structures.

Prescott Farm Prescott Farm offers the visitor a glimpse of early New England buildings and landscape. The farm buildings and land traces its origin to the early 18th century. Doris Duke, through the Newport Restoration Foundation, purchased the 40-acre farm with the idea of preserving open space and the Overing House (1730) as well as creating a setting for rural buildings from the area, which were in imminent danger of being lost through demolition.
