Response: Using traditional African patterns found in textiles I designed six patterns and supporting typefaces that could be applied to a range of wooden packaging. My packaging was created to house six distinctly different Dunny figures, designed by fellow student Meryem Meghraoua. This was all in response to a collaboration between kidrobot and Oxfam, using colourful design to support charities in Africa including; famine, AIDS, drought etc.

Brief: A twelve page zine that visually represents eleven of the most noted cult films, from 1958’s ‘Attack of the 50ft Woman’ to 2004’s ‘Napoleon Dynamite’.

Response: Key scenes, quotes and imagery from each chosen film has been used as inspiration for the individual page designs. All illustrations are two colour, plus black, and all pages have been printed onto an off white sugar paper. The front covers are either one of two colours; maroon or navy blue, and where created using a laser cutter combined a simple type based design. Some film designs have been enlarged and printed onto A2 paper for distribution.
Info: Laser cut front and back cover, two colour print, predominantly imaged based, additional A2 poster inspired by 1997’s ‘Romy and MIchele’s High School Reunion’.

Response: Using my strengths in packaging design I proposed an item of Sonic memorabilia that interprets the iconic ‘loop’ found in the ‘Green Hill Zone’ of the original game. The exterior design is robust enough to contain several limited edition items, all of which come together to bring the vintage game into the modern gaming environment. All visuals where taken straight from the game graphics.
Info: Limited Edition package includes sticker set, certificate of authenticity, celebratory poster and the original 16-bit game on a disc compatible with all platforms.

Response: For a brief that required ethical considerations, yet still needed to appeal to the intended ‘highend’ consumer, I used bold colours and subtle feminine patterns to wrap my range of products. The labels were then added to provide the necessary information to the consumer without disrupting the aesthetic impact. Each range has its own colour scheme and therefore slightly varying label designs, however all are based on an original template.

Response: I took the back catalogue of iconic Spanish film director; Pedro Almodóvar, and created the ultimate DVD collection. Working with five different actors many consider to be Almodóvar’s ‘muses’, the box set contains ten films, with two films dedicated to each collaboration between director and actor. Within the individual packages are booklets detailing the films within the boxset. Each film has it’s essential info such as cast and synopsis displayed.
