Avocado Tartine
The word 'tartine' is just a fancy name for an open-faced sandwich that can be served any time of day. While it only takes five to ten minutes to make this quick and easy dish, it is healthy and guaranteed to leave your tastebuds satisfied.
What you need
– Two 1 inch slices of seven-grain bread (or your choice of rustic bread)
1 large ripe avocado, halved, pitted, and peeled
Chilis
Lemon juice
– 1 radish, sliced
– 1 scallion, diced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Olive oil, for drizzling
Directions
Toast the bread to your desired state of crunchiness.
– On a plate or cutting board, mash the avocado together with a bit of lemon juice and chili (to your preference), and then spread it onto the toast.
Lay the thinly sliced radishes and scallions on top of the avocado mash.
Add salt, pepper, and olive oil to taste.
