Le 21ème

The D4 and the M8 are both my favourites. The D4 is so amazing. It is basically flawless for what I do. As far as my knowledge? It is all trial and error for me. “My goal is to see my images in print. What is your current state of mind? The tangibility makes them real.” Overwhelmed and excited. You deal with “beauty” on a daily bases. What is your definition for it?

Confidence. Physical beauty is great, but it’s worthless without confidence.

Is fashion a core element in your work? Not anymore. The fashion is complimentary, but not the basis. The people look “better” due to their outfits; however, their personalities are the focus.

How often do you step out of your comfort zone? Never. I am shy.

You are featured in magazines from all over the world: VOGUE, W, ELLE, New York Magazine and many others. Have magazines lost their integrity over online blogs? For me, print is still king. My goal is always to see my images in print. The tangibility makes them real. An online presence is so important for photographers these days, but for me it is a bit boring. As I can look at my images on my own computer without getting them published online by a third party. I want to touch them.

What is your ultimate goal as a photographer. What are your future ambitions and upcoming projects? To be exactly where I am, and to grow organically. I am very lucky already. I don’t want to be rich. I just want to do my job as well as I am able, and to make sure to never get lazy or lower my standards for my own work.

Who is the photographer you admire the most? In the realm of “street style” without doubt, Tommy Ton. He is more passionate than I could ever be. In the realm of “other photography,” without doubt Diane Arbus. NOIR CATCHER APR 2016
