Ballroom Dancing Shoes

For one thing, the soles of the shoe should be covered in suede. Suede, or chrome leather is the only material you should get because it provides the ideal grip and glide on hardwood— the wood that typical dance floors are made of. Never buy shoes with soles that are made of leather because they are too slippery, or rubber, because they are too sticky. Your performance and safety will be compromised and this is something every dancer is always careful to avoid.

Ballroom dancing shoes have some added features that you should also check out. A steel shank, lightweight and durable material, heel support and extra food pad cushioning will go a long way in easing foot fatigue. Tired feet are more prone to mistakes and injuries. Look for these helpful features so that you will be able to enjoy more time on the floor perfecting your moves.
