Finish colors are an approximate representation and can vary slightly due to hand application and variances in the original wood color. The standard finish for all of the reclaimed douglas fir items is a natural wax finish. Wax finishes do not have a lacquer topcoat, except for tops of Grey Wash and White Wash finished pieces, and will show more wear-and-tear. This adds to the rustic flair of the line. Wax finishes can be touched-up relatively easily. The use of coasters, placemats, and hot pot stands is recommended and strongly advised.

Reclaimed Douglas Fir Lumber The Reclaimed Douglas Fir Line is made from douglas fir taken from torn-down houses and barns across the county. The heavily distressed look of this line comes from the nails and staples that were in the wood in its original form. If the lumber is sanded down to avoid these typical holes and marks the feel of the finished product would not be the same. Standard Wax Finishes
