The Black Keys – El Camino

Enter Shikari - A Flash Flood of Colour

For sure you like many others got used to the thought that real rock`n`roll is dead and played his last chords in dusty London`s pubs. That there isn`t any other place for him but in the Jimmie Hendrix`s coffin or at least – in Kurt Cobain`s. But not, it is time to make doubts. There are people who can make guitar sound in the 21st century as in “good old days”. The Black Keys is the best proof. And you have to search for a professional band that pleases his fans every year, like this one. The pioneers of blues didn`t bungle El Carmino, the seventh studio album. Already on the beginning of listening to it you think: “Damn! Keys are playing for their satisfaction and pretty good!” In one track they’re fooling around, in another making fun and even play punk. Every song is a story with completely different emotions. And you don`t have feeling that you`ve already heard it somewhere else. How not to dance when you hear Lonely Boy or Dead and Gone? How can you hold yourself from singing Money Maker? There is a gold mean too, like Sister or perfect ending of Mind Eraser or popular Stop Stop. If you need to buy an official release than El Carmino worth to be in this small list. Essential for every selfrespecting music lover.

The new 2012 still in its virginity, already implements its apocalyptic plans if not by disasters, then definitely by the music. The first “speakers” in the new year turned out to be British by origin and revolutionaries by the sound - Enter Shikari. There was no need to invent them or create them ivvn somebody else’s image: gold nuggets from the city of St Albans are their own genre and criticism. If it’s the first time you meet the band, you should not blame anyone, besides yourself - some part of conversion of the British music stage you’ve definitely missed. Initially proving to be mixers of everything, which taken separately got everybody bored: rock, alternative, electro, they remained true to their ideological roots, and only added to their arsenal certain progressive innovations, such as the ubiquitous presence of dabstep imposed on the heavy drums. It is worth stressing the significant leap in comparison with a three year old “Common Dreads” (previous work of the group): lyrics, lyrics, lyrics. Who for the past five years has been writing correct, and most importantly, timely, relevant texts even from the underground? But these boys are definitely growing: each line is a quotation, each refrain sends shivers down your spine. Of course, with something we can agree, and with something we can’t, but your subconscious will at some point blurt out: “Damn, but they are right.” “Fuck all borders and fuck all boundaries Fuck all flags and fuck nationalities “ And such aphorisms in “A Flash Flood of Colour” are in abundance. These guys were definitely missed at the Moscow meeting on December 10, the crowd would follow them without a doubt. In addition to political songs, there are also simply awesome festival hits like Search Party, Sssnakepit, Warm Smile Do Not Make You Welcome Here with a message a little less charged.

Justice – Audio, Video, Disco

Lana Del Rey – Born to Die

There is a part of France where all music awards takes Ed Banger Records, who is in charge of big stars and those who play their music in clubs of European suburbs. If 10 years ago they were cleary known as fathers of Duft Punk, then today two Parisian DJs Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay, better known as Justice, gather everyone around them. In 2007 they released their debut album † (Cross), exploding every chart and returning nu-disco back to mainstream community. World tour, creative video series, different nominations: MTV, Grammy, EMA, positive critic reviews. All of this factors made new record “most wanted”. And now, four years past, Justice released second “work” called «Audio,Video,Disco». We have to admit that guys grew up. You can easily see how much changes they made to music part. Most of all true fans will be surprised to hear a lot of vocal and guitar tracks. You can feel a big influence of rock stage of 1970s, that magically combines Italian disco and sound of the band. The general vision is rather hard and dark, you can`t find here second part of D.A.N.C.E. or The Party. The most familiar to the first album is song Helix, but not very much. Basically Justice runs away from all sorts of frames and genres, despite preferences of their fans. They told about it in single Civilization (which, by the way, became main theme in Adidas commercial). «Audio,Video,Disco» is a turning point of relationships between fans and musicians. I`ve already told that Justice grew up. But what about us? It looks like it doesn’t bother them.

Despite the fact that young beauty already has a debut album (mini-album “Kill Kill” available only in digital format), she became popular only “yesterday” in 2011, thanks to single “Video Games”. Internet auditory without hesitating estimates her like indie-performer with made-up lips (look at earlier photos). Wikipedia assigns her orchestral pop genre and her name falls under the scope of Pitchfork editors. You know, it`s quite popular story of promotion in the 21st century. The growing interest in Elisabeth (it`s her real name) is fair. Just think about it: hipsters are bored with repeating vintage songs on their iPods. They need new, alive representative of their sub culture, that thinks the same way as they do. And Lana Del Ray is the best you could have. Good dressed beauty with catchy name and, more to say, really good voice. In comparison to Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and etc. Lana Del Ray looks like messiah. So what could be expected except success? There are some angry “fights” on different forums about Madame Del Ray`s patron, who pushes her to all music channels. Let them talk. Even if it`s true, who cares. There are a lot of successful examples in the world, especially in America, where the name of label gives an advantage. If it`s easy to get used to girl`s look, you need to make some effort to understand her music. Hard for perceiving melody for the first time looks incompatible with voice. It`s something like Kanye West`s 8o8, already doomed for “Wow!” and “Coo!”. You`ll see in the future curly besom will make herself known.

It`s a drama starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Natalie Portman. Movie tells us about absolutely asocial man, that moved to the thirteen years old boy`s house, who had just lost his mother. Hasher never takes a shower and likes to make tattoos by himself and blow everything up. Only this 20 years old misfit helps TJ and his family to come over their sorrow. During the whole movie there are lots of metaphors and they`re quite odd. “I pulled this gas tank from an old Chevy. I wanted to blow it up so I did but what I didn’t think about was all the little bits of metal that were gonna fly in every direction and I almost killed myself. I woke up in this hospital and this doctor was like ‘Son,’ & I said ‘Don’t call me son you

motherfucking cunt.’ & he was like ‘you blew off a nut.’ I just lost my nut like that. I had to go looking for it so I busted out of juvie and went searching- couldn’t find my nut. Well there was this one night I was sitting there taking a shit and I was looking at my balls and staring at this little piece of flabby sack where my left nut used to be and then I saw my right nut for the first time and I was like fuck man my nut! Look I still have a nut! It’s a good nut it works. In the first part of the movie intertwines two stories so later we can understand heroes’ steps. Crime story with thriller elements takes viewers to the modern Sweden. 40 years ago Harriet Vagner disappeared on island of powerful family. Her body wasn`t found but her uncle believes that it was a murder made by someone from his united and unfortunate family. Miserable billionaire on his every birthday gets news from his nice. What is it, mockery or signs from upper forces? That`s what have to find out famous journalist Mikael Blomkvist( Daniel

Craig) and Lisbeth Salander(Rooney Mara) a young computer hacker. Lisbeth is mentally ill so she has a guardian, who will get ill very soon. On his place comes totally different person - a cruel tyrant and a sadist. By the way, hero played by Daniel Craig is quite naïve. And when he`s invited in the house by 100% killer, he goes even in the basement. Actually it looks like Craig is demoted to bondgirl and Rooney Mara plays James Bond. The movie is long but dynamic at the same time.And in any case, very interesting. And the most important that it`s a social and more or less truthful story. But the movie was nominated for an Oscar for sound and visual effects, and went down in history as one of the most successful in that year. But even today, millions of fans ready to watch again and again the path from the slave, whose dreams are limited to a normal life, to That person, on whom depends the whole life harmony of Galactic Republic. As you, know most of my projects took a lot of time, but I’m in rapture with this movie, I’ve read the book, we`ve wrote a screenplay and seven more months we were working. I wanted to tell you this story very much. “Separated by war. Tested be battle. Bound be friendship.” The movie is based on War Horse, a novel by Michael Morpurgo, where the story is told from the name of the horse called Joey. Set during World War I, when horse is sent on the war, first published in 1982. On the war Joey shows wonderful courage, inspires soldiers around him. But secretly he wants to come back

to his bellowed farm, where he`s left his friend – boy named Albert. War doesn`t go by, during this life test man understands what is really important in life. Horse and boy grew up together and began to get older together too. In the movie when Joey is taken, Albert wasn`t let on the war because he`s too young. But Albert still goes to the battle places with hope to find his best friend, save him and come back home together. How did you get along with the agency team? Is it possible to find pals in this kind of business or the competition is really tough? (devil)

Nastya P. : They always treated me very well at the school, I had a lot of friends and not much changed with modelling around, they would respect me even more, and boys would fall in love. You can definitely feel the competition, but nobody is putting nails in your shoes. I am very grateful for everything that happened to me. I got more mature thanks to the profession, my first foreign trip was at the age of 14. Clothing style changed entirely (and thanks God!), lots of friends around the world. It’s amazing! NOMODELS : 14 years old, how young we were! NOMODELS : What, do you think, except appearance, are the qualities a model should possess in order to break through and be successful?

NOMODELS : Hello, Nastya! Nastya P. : hey ho! I’m here) NOMODELS : How did you start modeling? You got scouted or…?

Nastya P. : My director noticed me in the street at the age of 14. I was walking from the store with some stuff my mum sent me for. So it all got started. NOMODELS : Did you drop the stuff you bought out of excitement? You got scared? Your first reaction?

Nastya P. : Nooo, I got scared, to be honest, came back home running and told mum not to answer the phone! )) NOMODELS : Did they offer you to visit model school? A lot of agencies are luring the money this way out of aspiring models.

Nastya P. : Yes, the offered a free course at the model school, but honestly I attended 2 times, at that time I was absolutely disinterested. It was a funny story, quite a time had passed before I started to like model business. NOMODELS : Did anything change in your life because of realisation «I am a model»? How did girls at school react? Any jealousy came up?

Nastya P. : At first I would go to castings without high heels and wearing broad jeans, which terrified my director. NOMODELS : Were they making a little lady out of you? 40 NOMODELS

Nastya P. : Finished school with gold medal, now I am writing a thesis, tourism major. Everything is good. NOMODELS : wow wow)) Nastya P. : If there is a will, these can be done without harm to one another. NOMODELS : What are you planning for future? Any unrealized creative plans?

Nastya P. : I plan to reach heights in modelling and to start my own business (I won’t say what kind, but the secret plan is already existent), it will be related to fashion. Nastya P. : Sex is one of the best ways to lose weight, especially when love is in involved. Wild sex is definitely the best way. Any little secrets?

Nastya P. : Weird… weird… there has been a bunch of stories. Once a designer would throw chairs at the models. But this all is negativity, I don’t want to talk about it. Let’s talk about something good. NOMODELS : Ok, about good. Family is in distant plans or already close? Nastya P. : I have been living with my beloved half a year already, I am very lucky! He has a good attitude towards my profession. NOMODELS : The question is if there is a lot of jealousy while you are away? Nastya P. : He understand everything and trusts me, I believe I am very lucky in this respect. It’s very hard when we part for a long time, but there is such romance in that, you can’t imagine. NOMODELS : What do parents say? Were they worried when you were away? Nastya P. : In times of first trips, parents worried a lot. Now everything is good, only granny gets nervous all the time, says that this all smells bad.) I still can’t convince her otherwise.) NOMODELS : Models are whores stereotype? 42 NOMODELS

Nastya P. : I want to advice not to think about this job as of something pleasant, easy and sweet. This is hard work first of all, just like everything else, if not worse… so you have to be ready for the difficulties, which the aspiring models will face. For everyone winter starts in different ways. For someone it begins with “black Friday” sales or with first snow and first frost and somebody celebrates coming of this time of the year only on 31 of December. Fore me, arrival of winter is announced with the opening of the nearest ski center.

I`m a girl and a snowboarder in one case. In this sport (as well as in any other) gender issue is edging. Snow surf becomes more popular among ladies and number of girls on the roads increases exponentially. You can spend hours inventing a reason for this craze and don`t make it. I`ll be honest. My first trip on the slope was organized by my friends and I agreed on it just for experiment. I must say that it was successful. The result of the day was beaten 90 NOMODELS

off butt, conquered training slope and tones of positive. Felt with the spirit(as it seemed to me then) I`ve rushed to the closest store and bought a trendy outfit for 999.99$. My second comming will be our first reason. On the slope I shined in the acid-yellow pants, wearing CherylMaas for Vans boots and I was holding the latest model of board. I shone with arrogance as a girl with puddle in Soviet parks. Above my head was burning banner with the next words: “Stylish, trendy, young!”. This how I got into the nets of this ruthless sport-fashion, and possibility to get out of its depth isn`t given to everyone. Another reason of interest for this sport will be trivial interest in guys. According to SIA girls make one third from all of the snowboarders, using simple mathematical calculations we get 70% of male population on the slope and 50% to 50% that you can bump into someone because of inexperience. In addition, all ski resorts are equipped with small cafes where you can drink a cup of tea and start casual conversation. Recently, most of the girls are paying atten-

tion to model standard of beauty and try to suit them. But we have to remember that snowboarding is kind of sport, and even more, since 1998 it`s an Olympic

sport and requires physical exertion. It`s very good opportunity to keep yourself fit. Many people are choosing sport instead of exhausting diets, herewith having cheerful emotions and good mood. We shouldn`t forget the fact that beautiful half of the mankind took part in creating a snowboard. Wendy, the daughter of the first snow board inventor became the Eve of snowboarding. Father put together two skis and a rubber sheet on top for her and named this invention Snufer, name was patented in 1966. Jake Burton began to upgrade Snufer only fourteen years past, later it has led to creation of an entire company Burton. Industry of sport goods is hardly working on formation of womenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s snowboarding, and takes to attention the specific features of womenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s skating

- boards become shorter, narrower and have a pronounced sidecut, more flexible. Moreover snowboarding is a real fashion experiment and real school of coloring and chromatics. On the slope, or only on the runway you can see coexistence of fluorescent yellow and fuchsia, carrot and carmine-red, the color of the poisonous green and sky blue. No matter what reason did you choose, as for me I`ve already decided - it doesn`t matter what are you wearing, on what you`re skating or who are you meeting and how much do you weight as long as you passionately love what you do. Snowboarding is a sex addiction and poliorgasm. It is slopes covered with white powder and you`re an addict that refuses to believe that this does was enough for you.
