Top Cows: $68-$78; one cow weighed 2,130# at $73.50 for a total of $1565.55, another cow weighed 1,525# at $78.50 for a total of $1197.13. Wow, Top cows had to be on hard feed for 100 days.; Most Cows: $58-$64; Old Thin Low Yielding $42-$52; Bulls: High Yielding: $70-$79; Low Yielding $57$67; Feeding Cows-Heiferettes $62$102. All cows sorted for age, color & size. Expect 50-75 bred cows, cow-calf pairs in late consignment.

Early last spring I had an old farmer friend (82 yrs. old) finally get his wish (a 23-year old mail-in bride). His banker found out and told him he better get some help to make sure everything went well. Time went by and in Dec. the banker asked Jim how things were going. He replied very well and thanked him for his advice. He told the banker he hired a 25-year-old girl to help him out on the farm. Then he proudly told the banker both the new wife and the hired girl are now pregnant. There is life after 80. Happy New Year!
